The visual of the cool dudes wearing cheerleader uniforms just might get me through this.
That's right. Turn your head when they get the needle and think of omnis and me with pom poms. He's the one with the pigtails.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Vortex, maybe throw together a manicure kit with some polish and stuff? Staying pretty in any way, shape or form is a huge morale booster.
Is she there for the duration, Vortex?
Yep, they are basically waiting for the baby to be in a good place for a c-section.
she used to scrapbook. We've kind of drifted apart, she lives 45 mins away and I kind of don't like her husband. He's not a bad guy, I just think that she settled and he doesn't seem to put any effort into the the relationship. but, I digress.
Vortex, books of essays and light novellas and YA novels and other things that can be picked up and set down over and over, or taken in in small gulps. And, if she doesn't already have her own laptop or portable DVD player, check among your friends to see if anyone has a spare they can lend out. I plowed through a ton of Buffy rewatches and various other box sets during bed rest, and it helped enormously (as did the boxes of frivolous paperbacks sent by many kindly Buffistas).
Normally the Red Cross phlebotomists are among the best, because they have so much practice. The worst I've seen have all worked at hospitals.

Oh, I can laugh and pass out at the same time.

Yeeeah, the last time I went to the Red Cross, the guy didn't secure the needle properly, and it came out, so I ended up both wasting my time and not being able to try again for six months. Thanks, idiot!
But when I've gone to actual blood drives, it's been great. Maybe the mobile Red Cross people are better than the ones in the building.
Second the recs JZ made.

That's been my experience, but I don't know why. The mobile people do probably see more people per day.
I feel like I've already seen omnis in a cheerleader uniform. Have I seen pictures from a past Halloween or did I have a really fucked up dream some night?
