I like good vodka, but I generally order my vodka tonics with rail, because the difference is negligible to me, and I can basically get two for the price of one :)
Since I prefer my vodka tonics with flavored vodkas (pear, citron, or Pinky), it's a moot point to me. But I AM an enormous absinthe snob; I was at one place that listed absinthe on the drink list, and I confused the poor server by asking which absinthe it was, and then wrinkling my pale little nose at the answer.
and although I can appreciate that are more complex than the cheap stuff, I don't like any of them.
Kristin is me! All scotch is vile to me.
I get to be Jilli? WHEEEE!
I don't think that I've ever tried scotch. So I have no idea whether I like it or not.
I was surprised to discover I liked whisky neat. I'm not sure why I thought I disliked it. And reading the wikipedia entry is confusing the hell out of me at the same time as clarifying my spelling/nomenclature issues. I'm sure I couldn't tell Scotch from whisky at large. Also, Opera doesn't like my spelling of it, but it can bite me.

My food snobberies are tea and Italian food.
We have a wee bottle of absinthe at home that I was given as a stocking stuffer. But I keep defering the drinking of it as I am convinced I'll flub the preparations.
Our found kitty, is not chipped. and one of the vet assistant
was also planning on taking him in - she would have fostered him. And she agrees with me - very lost or abandoned. Not anymore.
My food snobberies are rum (but that's jingoistic--I let it play out in a very small arena), Jamaican food (naturally, also jingoistic), tropical fruit (uh, I may have a bit of a thing going), tea (but I don't let it affect my day-to-day), and one day I want to achieve proper sushi snobbery.
The rest is just me knowing what I like and not caring what anyone else thinks.
