[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

oh, Erin, you look BEAUTIFUL. Of course, the amazing smiles and radiant happiness probably helped :) I love the dress.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

ummmm...

Sis and books: she returned Lewis (apparently they're not supposed to read "British English". I blinked), got Gaiman's "American Gods" instead.
She does know Gaiman's a Brit who lives in the U.S.?

I love that picture of you and Dan in front of the courthouse. You both look blissfully happy.

My sentiments exactly.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Have we mentioned before that English is Latin in vocabulary and Germanic in grammar? That's a gross oversimplification, but that's probably where your linguistic feet are getting tripped up.

Oh, yeah. I know that.

To the point of almost wishing I would have chosen German instead of French, at times.

Compared to Lewis' English, Gaiman's writing in American.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Thanks, guys! There should be more coming pretty soon.

who showed me some of Atlanta,

This is a nice way of saying that we hit the hockey traffic coming and going and when I'm foiled from using my limited repertoire of downtown routes, I end up wandering aimlessly until I get my bearings.

It was indeed a lovely visit. Thanks, Calli!

I'm getting the pig!

Shoot! I forgot to say how jealous I am of Calli and Ginger getting to hang out with each other. I'm glad you both had a good time.

Ugh. We just got a new tivo so I've been re-setting all of my season pass shows for the last couple of hours. And if someone knows of a way that I could've done all of it in like, five minutes or something? Keep that info to yourself, m'kay? I simply couldn't handle that sort of news right now.

Tired.

wow, fridges are expensive! New apartment doesn't come with one. Dang! Looked online at Lowe's, Home Depot, and Sears. I don't need a big one, but you are still looking at $400! And from what I saw, the smaller ones aren't energy star. Please tell me, o wise hive mind, where is a source to find good, inexpensive, quiet fridges?? I'm leary of goodwill type places.
