I'm not sure how old he is, but I heard him use the word 'newfangled' one time, so he's gotta be pretty far gone.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

wow, fridges are expensive! New apartment doesn't come with one. Dang! Looked online at Lowe's, Home Depot, and Sears. I don't need a big one, but you are still looking at $400! And from what I saw, the smaller ones aren't energy star. Please tell me, o wise hive mind, where is a source to find good, inexpensive, quiet fridges?? I'm leary of goodwill type places.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

She's a delightful buffista who showed me some of Atlanta,

She's an excellent host.

Erin, you guys look so blissed out!

Yay, the happy!

That's so weird--only in California have I heard of rental apartments not coming with fridges!! I remember Aimee and Joe dealing with that, and I thought it was so strange when I heard about it then.

Have you tried Craigslist?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

omnis, we have a fridge in the garage you can have. D thinks it doesn't work. I think we unplugged it because it was using too much energy. If you're interested I'll plug it in and see what happens.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

This is a nice way of saying that we hit the hockey traffic coming and going and when I'm foiled from using my limited repertoire of downtown routes, I end up wandering aimlessly until I get my bearings.

Hey, you showed me some of Cabbagetown and the Underground, too. I had had no idea Atlanta had an underground history. (Or mills, for that matter.)

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Lou is having a rough day, and not eating (which is bad, because painkillers are mixed in his food).

We're taking him to the vet tomorrow, trying to see if we can do something about the edema, hoping that will make it easier on him. The treatment so far is pretty good, and until now he was himself again. However, the tumor obviously grew, though not expended to the other side of his skull (as much as we can tell without another CT scan). My dog is a strong and stubborn one, so if the tumor will be a little less violent we still have a chance of extra few weeks/months with him.

And I found out that denial can work sometimes. It may sound harsh, but I need to take time offs from constant worrying about him from time to time. Or else, I don't sleep, and everything hurts, and I'm crying in public, which is never good.

Is there a Sears Outlet [link] within reasonable distance, omnis?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Erin, you look lovely and you both look so happy! *sniffle*

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Erin, the pictures look fab! Congrats, again.

she returned Lewis (apparently they're not supposed to read "British English"

What?!

Wishing Lou painlessness, Shir. It's definitely no bad thing to have time when you don't worry about him. You have to look after yourself too.

Why is activism so head-banging-against-brick-wall-inducing? People and politics. Frustrating things.
