Hey, I've been in a firefight before! Well, I was in a fire. Actually, I was fired from a fry-cook opportunity. I can handle myself.

Wash ,'War Stories'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Amusing things I've noticed today include a sign in Starbucks saying "To protect the quality of our coffee, we ask you not to smoke." Dudes. It's the law that there's no smoking in indoor spaces that are open to the public. It wasn't your idea!

Why. Why. Why. WHY are the university departments I'm researching being so difficult? "Ooh, no, we can't give you access to that information. Or that. Or that. Oh, but here, have some entirely useless stuff instead..." I am on a deadline here - TWO WEEKS to write this sodding dissertation, and I currently have almost no useful results! GAH!

I'm fine. Really. Back to laughing at Starbucks now.

I remember hearing rumors at one point that they were going to try to get Stephen Fry to be in an episode of House. Did anything ever come of that? Because that would be brilliant.

Seriously. Hugh Laurie's done almost nothing without the man hanging around the same show. It would be just weird not to have Fry in at least one episode of House.

Glamcookie, great news about your friend!

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I can't remember if that was an actual rumor, or just a shared fantasy of this thread. Either way, WANT. (Especially since catching up on this week's ep w/ House briefly dressed as the Prince Regent. I want to know whose idea that was so I can buy them a present.)

I know! I squealed!

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Humm. Soon my room will have a big b/w framed photograph of Albey Einstein (as I call him), looking for something and pondering in his messy room, and on the wall next to it the print version of this [link] (NSFW) (it's, of course, minus the writing on it, very big and framed beautifully on a dark background with a brown wooden frame). With this, I'll be satisfied.

But I'll get, somehow, that alarm clock with Fry's voice, next to the turntable, and a fully functioned computers, and then I'll be fucking thrilled.

Right. Time to print an article, get out of the library and get the fuck on with MY WEEKEND! (which will include, of course, more studies. Still. A WEEKEND. Sleep. And a slightest chance for social life. Heaven).

Our wings are not tired.

I think the more we talk about the Fry visit to House the more likely it is to happen. Let's put it out there in the universe.

"To protect the quality of our coffee, we ask you not to smoke."

This reminds me of a conversation with my late FIL back when we had a retail computer store. He lit up a cigarette in the store and I told him we didn't allow smoking. He launched into this argument that smoke didn't bother the computer equipment, at which point I told him it did bother the owners.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Random info for Supernatural fans: the production company (Kripke Enterprises) is also a scrap metal business (or, more accurately, a scrap metal business is *part* of Kripke), which you may have already known.

The Boy's company (also a scrap metal business) does business with Kripke all the time. They're a regular customer.

Weird.

We need to tweet it at him. As an entire community. Plant that suggestion in that man's mind, people.

The Girl thinks he should play a dead patient. This would be something of a waste of his genius, though.

But I'll get, somehow, that alarm clock with Fry's voice, next to the turntable, and a fully functioned computers, and then I'll be fucking thrilled.

You're living the dream!

This reminds me of a family business on St Joseph's Island (Canada) - Gilbertson's road building, gravel, and pancake house.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Happy birthday Jessica! The leatherback turtle is the only reptile able to maintain a body temperature significantly higher than its environment.
