JZ, there is a 3-year-old girl downstairs that Matilda needs to meet. I think they would be incredibly entertaining together.
Spike ,'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I see a logical solution here. the Miracleborns move to seattle and rent Plei's house.
YES, THIS IS AN AWESOME PLAN.
YES, THIS IS AN AWESOME PLAN.
I can offer babysitters!
Nature trips: swans, eagles, tulips! Okay, an hour out of Seattle, but close enough.
Give our Miracleborns some house~ma and our ZMayhems some car ~ma.
Maybe they can all live in a house-car!
Or drive a car-house!
But they're gonna get some hop-ons.
omnis, I don't suppose you could just take your personal days and floating holidays (and even sick days if you really wanted to push it) and not work some of the time until you officially leave? r make your oficial quitting day later and get more paychecks?Apparently, once you give notice you can no longer ask or be approved for any time off. There are so many things I like about this job, and will miss. But this is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Now I kinda want to have short timers syndrome. I worked holidays bitches! WTF?!

Ya, too bad there is too much shit flying around, otherwise I'd just skate by these last few weeks. grrr.
Today, my advisor responded to an email promptly, was early for a meeting, and had talked to a few people about being on my defense committee. And when I couldn't remember something about my research, he told me that it's OK, I'm not expected to remember everything, and to try not to let myself get too stressed.we have secretly substituted Hil's advisor with a body double, opposite personality person. Let's see if she notices.
Quick! Send him a ton of questions while he is in the answering mood!

I think that's pretty usual. At least, it seems to have been the case with a handful of friends.
My advisor has also grown a beard. I'm suspicious.
What happens at a lot of theaters, the HR policies are imposed upon the theater by a board member, who owns/runs a big corporation. So they often don't seem to make sense or capture the spirit of theater folk. I'm cool with the sick days. And personal days are a benefit for the workers, but vacation is earned, and floating holiday is reimbursement. Seems wrong to not reimburse me for 4 holidays I had to work.
I should just let it go.
