Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

'Objects In Space'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The DPW is drilling to fix the water problem, and I haven't even had my tea yet.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

For some reason, I'm awake early today on a day when I don't have to be awake early. I should probably go in and do some work, but I've got to stay at the office late today, and I'll probably be exhausted by then if I start this early.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Trying to talk him into moving to NOLA with me so we can start a deconstruction job training program.

Oh my, HELL to the YES. I wouldn't know what to do with the total adorableness of you both! Except sigh dreamily. Separate and/or together.

On that front, I have told my mother and my grandmother about our plans to make this move, and they are even somewhat supportive! This is SO GOING TO HAPPEN. Just a question of when.

We'll come over after a long day at the nonprofit and you can ply us with drinks and pub food while we trade stories about negotiating NOLA bureaucracy! Can I count on you to stock some spicy good ginger beer?

EXCELLENT. My parents have somewhat seriously offered to drive a moving van full of my crap down, and then take the train back. It's all coming together.

Tom is Mr. Ginger Beer! No problem.

Tom is Mr. Ginger Beer! No problem.

I had no idea! That's fantastic. I have trouble finding good brands around here, what does he like?

I just linked to the HG flickr group in Press and a few specific pictures, so while I'm at it... this is B: [link]

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

The census sent me another form, but I already sent it back! Like the day after I got it, I want to be counted! Now I'm worried that they didn't get it. Or that they're wasting a shit ton of money sending the damn things out twice, just to be sure.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I have never been to Hawaii; I think I would prefer a Carribbean island, or one close to Mexico. But I SUPPose I could SETTLE for Hawaii.

Can we have cabana persons and some of those fancy padded lounge chairs? Seaside massages, followed by many, many icy fruity liquor-filled drinks? Grilled seafood still twitching, it's so fresh, and possibly a roast pig? And a floaty dress. I want a floaty dress.

And a big fucking pile of new books.

Ok, so my hedonism is geektastic.

Thanks, Maria! I lurve it; I took in it yesterday to have it taken up at the shoulders and in at the waist. I will be posting TOO MANY PICTURES!

Coding and Sleeping

The last census I got the long form, so this year it seemed weird for it to be so short.

I think I realize why I've been in a bit of a funk since Sunday evening. Big (relatively speaking, not a huge extended family) family gatherings like on Easter always bring me down some. I'm the fattest and poorest member of my generation and the only one without my own business. Always makes me feel like a loser. It's stupid, because it's not like my life isn't pretty damn good, but it always gets to me some.
