What? She killed 'em with mathematics. What else could it have been?

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Gah, thanks for the reminder. I need to do laundry.

For some reason The Boy is trusting me to do his taxes. Crazy fool.

Also, I reject pollen and all of its works.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I slept til NOON. FFS. Now I'm groggy from too much sleep (is NOT a hangover) and expect little to be accomplished today.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have made the bed, gone to Pilates, and the DH and I are going to make a list of all the little crap we have to take care of in the house and yard to get ready for teevee peeps.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I have gone to the bakery, the grocery store, the cat food store, eaten breakfast and lunch, and am lounging around waiting for it to be time to go into Somerville/Cambridge for dropping off stuff at Goodwill and then, finally, going to a beer dinner at the Cambridge Brewing Company.

Tomorrow I have to make green bean casserole to bring for dinner, clean the cat box, and continue decluttering before heading to my local Easter dinner.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm so glad spring is back - the Saturday morning ritual of library, farmer's market, playground is just pure bliss on days like this. Still not a ton of spring veggies showing up, but I did see (and buy!) some pea shoots this morning so YAY. Also some fantastic looking spinach, carrots, and leeks. And milk and eggs as usual. (Though the eggs will be part of our weekly CSA pickup once that starts up.)

Tonight DH and I are going to dinner with some friends we haven't seen in months. We realized it had been ages since we'd been out socially with a non-parent couple. Let's hope we remember how to talk about things other than our kids and jobs!

“Not dead yet!”

We are currently standing in a wicked long line at registration. So many costumes that I feel like a rebel in my sweats. Abby hasn't quit smiling since we parked the car.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I should be out enjoying the weather since it has been grey and raining for days and promises to start again soon, but I really want to finish the book I'm reading. And now I have a cat in my lap, so I'm good and stuck.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I went to the drugstore. Instead of fish oil, to lower my cholesterol, I bought Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs.

Peanut butter is high in omega-3. Or something healthful. I expect.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Just got back from the local hippie co-op's spring wine tasting. Feeling very mellow.
