I'm so glad spring is back - the Saturday morning ritual of library, farmer's market, playground is just pure bliss on days like this. Still not a ton of spring veggies showing up, but I did see (and buy!) some pea shoots this morning so YAY. Also some fantastic looking spinach, carrots, and leeks. And milk and eggs as usual. (Though the eggs will be part of our weekly CSA pickup once that starts up.)
Tonight DH and I are going to dinner with some friends we haven't seen in months. We realized it had been ages since we'd been out socially with a non-parent couple. Let's hope we remember how to talk about things other than our kids and jobs!
We are currently standing in a wicked long line at registration. So many costumes that I feel like a rebel in my sweats. Abby hasn't quit smiling since we parked the car.
I should be out enjoying the weather since it has been grey and raining for days and promises to start again soon, but I really want to finish the book I'm reading. And now I have a cat in my lap, so I'm good and stuck.
I went to the drugstore. Instead of fish oil, to lower my cholesterol, I bought Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs.
Peanut butter is high in omega-3. Or something healthful. I expect.
Just got back from the local hippie co-op's spring wine tasting. Feeling very mellow.
watching season 4 of Farscape. So far, I am *very* confused.
So far, I am *very* confused.
You know what helps with that? Wine. You'll still be confused, but you'll care less.
It is cold and threatening out. Which makes me think I should curl up under a blankie.
So far breakfast -- including a good talk about firefly/serenity . I lent my copies to a friend who knows Joss but never saw them. We picked up Andy's ashes ( only a few tears) and got Matt's hair cut.
I am not sure anything else will happen except i want to make banana bread and lasagna
