I'm just, uh, just feeling kinda... truthsome right now. And, uh... life's just too damn short for ifs and maybes.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I'm in a bit of a pickle.

Boss's wife calls me and asks me if Boss is open for lunch tomorrow. I look at his calendar, and he is. She asks me to block it off, she's going to take him to lunch, but don't tell him. I roll my eyes at these Gal Friday type of shenanigans but tell her fine. I block off the lunch hour on the calendar (as "mystery appointment" which he'll see in an email notification and come to me all WTF?) and then a couple minutes later I realize that there's a thing going on during that most of the office will be going to, but it's not on his calendar.

Should I just ask him about it? Should I wait to see if he comes to me to ask about the mystery appointment? Should I stop caring, because SERIOUSLY???

Trust my rage

I think it's sort of sweet that she wants to take him to lunch. Maybe they don't get to do that sort of thing much? (Maybe I am just projecting since I hardly ever see Joe before dinner time these days?)

If it were me, I'd ask him if he's going. But I wouldn't ruin her surprise unless you have to.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Welcome to the world Luna!!! You are continuing the tradition of Buffista sprog being extraordinarily cute! Congratulations to CL and her DH! CL, I'm sorry you had such a rough delivery.

Erin, congratulations on the upcoming wedding. I'm sure that, whatever dress you chose, you are going to be a gorgeous bride!

Job~ma for Barb's DH!

Mom and Stepdad are coming home today from FL! It should be an interesting drive home for them from the airport with all of the flooding, but I hear it is starting to get a little better.

Well, I definitely don't want her to show up and find him gone. And I do think it's sweet that she wants to take him to lunch. I just hate the history of doofus dude boss learned helplessness making me second guess his calendar being up to date.

I appreciate the lunch plans and the secret keeping, and would love for it to work out without me having to angst over it!

Librarian Warlord

Nora, could you call the wife, explain the situation and let her decide how to handle it?

YAY LUNA BABY!

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

I found out there's a showrunner on Dailykos. Unfortunately, his baby is one of the ones that made me, when I saw the trailer, say "Who writes this crap?" So I guess I won't lead off with that.

Yeah, I guess I was leaning in Sparky's direction. If you can ask him if he's going, I would do that. If not, I'd call her and ask her what she wants to do.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Have we heard from Connie since her surgery yesterday?

I was just wondering than myself. Hope it's because the good drugs are really good, and she'll be up to posting soon.

Much interview~ma for Lewis.

I can't decide if this Muppet version of "Stand By Me" is really creepy, or if it is brilliant social commentary: [link]
