I really, really want him to get this job not just because he really, really wants to get this job and it would fit his skill set perfectly, but because it would really be the first time since, oh... grad school, maybe, that he's doing exactly what he wants to do and is moving forward on his own merits.

There is a strange yellow orb in the sky today! I vaguely remember it being called the sun. I have baked brownies and wrapped a gift for my stepdad because his birthday happened while he was away, and now I'm heading to RI to hopefully avoid all flooded areas.
