(Do you guys know 'Jeeves & Wooster'? Very funny early 90s stuff - worth watching.)
Watching House after mainlining a series of Jeeves and Wooster will cause head implosions. And yet, that doesn't stop me from doing it.
'War Stories'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I remember hearing rumors at one point that they were going to try to get Stephen Fry to be in an episode of House. Did anything ever come of that? Because that would be brilliant.
Remember my high school friend who recently had a mastectomy? Things are going well for her!
[Name] is officially CANCER FREE! Yay! Pathology report from surgery was good. Small amount of invasion but still early enough that I won't need chemo! Such a relief. They also found three other fairly large areas of cancer throughout the breast that never showed on any of the tests. I'm soooo happy I chose the mastectomy! Thank you all so much for your love and support!
YAY!

That would be brilliant. I might even start watching House again if they managed it.

So glad to hear this!
"Happy your life must be"
!!! Don we now our gay apparel Alas, I can't sing this without getting comments from the boys, then they get mom glares, it's a parental circle thing.
Great news, GC. What a relief.
Congratulations Hil!
GC that's wonderful news for your friend.
Thanks GC & Sparky - yeah... the person who hired me is the person who said 'don't listen to x' and may or may not have a history of pitting people against each other.
I feel like a career making soup cans is in my future.
Amusing things I've noticed today include a sign in Starbucks saying "To protect the quality of our coffee, we ask you not to smoke." Dudes. It's the law that there's no smoking in indoor spaces that are open to the public. It wasn't your idea!
Why. Why. Why. WHY are the university departments I'm researching being so difficult? "Ooh, no, we can't give you access to that information. Or that. Or that. Oh, but here, have some entirely useless stuff instead..." I am on a deadline here - TWO WEEKS to write this sodding dissertation, and I currently have almost no useful results! GAH!
I'm fine. Really. Back to laughing at Starbucks now.

Seriously. Hugh Laurie's done almost nothing without the man hanging around the same show. It would be just weird not to have Fry in at least one episode of House.
Glamcookie, great news about your friend!

I can't remember if that was an actual rumor, or just a shared fantasy of this thread. Either way, WANT. (Especially since catching up on this week's ep w/ House briefly dressed as the Prince Regent. I want to know whose idea that was so I can buy them a present.)

I know! I squealed!
Humm. Soon my room will have a big b/w framed photograph of Albey Einstein (as I call him), looking for something and pondering in his messy room, and on the wall next to it the print version of this [link] (NSFW) (it's, of course, minus the writing on it, very big and framed beautifully on a dark background with a brown wooden frame). With this, I'll be satisfied.
But I'll get, somehow, that alarm clock with Fry's voice, next to the turntable, and a fully functioned computers, and then I'll be fucking thrilled.
Right. Time to print an article, get out of the library and get the fuck on with MY WEEKEND! (which will include, of course, more studies. Still. A WEEKEND. Sleep. And a slightest chance for social life. Heaven).
