There are a number of people I know that are more attractive in the animated in person version. It isn't that they aren't photogenic so much as they have particularly awesome gestures and expressions that add so much to the picture.

On a happier note, we are currently sitting front row centet at the theater waiting to see Porgy and Bess. I have no idea how I managed to get tickets this good. They were a Valentine gift for TCG.
