I'm not evil again. Why does everyone think that?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I am finishing up my taxes by reading about AMTs and such. It's clear to me that this is the last year I'll be able to do my taxes on my own. They're gonna be way too complicated next year. I also need to finally start consulting a financial expert of some sort. I guess these are positive changes but I don't have to like the change, right?

Grump grump grump.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Hee! I can just imagine how much purging and packing we would get done with Drew in town.
When in doubt, throw it out!

My sister is an EA (enrolled agent with IRS. Doesn't work for IRS, but certified to do taxes). She's done plenty of taxes via e-mail/fed ex. Just a thought. Ping me if you want her details.

Time for long day! Whee! Gala! "We make more today than for a typical 6 week show". No pressure. But the entertainment is a traveling version of "Whose Line Is it" so it should be funny at least.

I'd love her details, BC! Thanks.

So, I just went on a date (or "coffee", since I really had no plans for it, but whatever), and she turned out to be....way worse than I expected, but since I had no expectations, that wasn't all that upsetting, but more entertaining. As in, she seemed...OFF. I think she might've been on the autism spectrum, actually. Kept talking in a very...um...straightforward manner? As in one of the first things she said was "you're very pretty", but one of the next things she said was "So you're very pretty but then why are you single?" Uh, OK...She also told me that I was much prettier than my pictures on the website and that they were terrible and I should replace them with better pictures. Hah! Now I am torn between being flattered, and paranoid about my pictures. She was very strange.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh, God. Now I'm worried about my straightforwardness for the date tomorrow.

And meara - I'd go with being flattered. Why choose the other option?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Meara, fwiw, I think you are very pretty in pictures but truly stunning in person. She was probably just in awe.

I had a fight with TCG today that was mostly my fault, and now I feel awful.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

sj speaks truth. It's entirely possible that right now she's over on her own message boards wailing, "Gah! Help! I just had coffee with this STONE HOT GODDESS who I totally expected from her pictures to be just plain cute, and having to make conversation with her turned me into a stupid stupidhead, and I canNOT believe the things I said to her because of the brain freeze, and oh my God I just had coffee with a GODDESS and I think she thinks I'm insane."

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Evening, all. I'm semi-cheating on Earth Hour - lights, phone etc are off and candles are lit, but I'm watching TV on my computer and using the internet. Decided to make accommodations for myself. I've had the worst cold in the universe this week and I'm not feeling up to being disconnected and reading a book.

Now I'm worried about my straightforwardness for the date tomorrow.

Heh. For the first three months of my relationship with The Girl, I kept thinking she hated me because she spoke her mind. It was a culture-clash thing. Which is quite funny, because I'm the one of us with the autistic spectrum condition. Turns out country of origin trumps neurodiversity.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Sometimes, I wonder if someone is on the autistic spectrum, or if they're poorly socialized, awkward, or just a dick. It can be hard to tell.

Meara, fwiw, I think you are very pretty in pictures but truly stunning in person.

sj, you are a case of the pot calling the kettle a STONE HOTTIE. Because, as I believe I've said before, pictures don't come close to doing you justice.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Dear God. That dog WILL KILL ME.

I was taking him out for last round of pee. I opened the door to let him out to the yard. Then, he thought he saw a cat. And he ran to chase him out.

He ran directly into the post of post box in the yard. At least he bumped into his good, non-cancer eaten side of his face.

My poor baby screamed and I walked him back, kind of shaken, into the house.

He's been sneezing blood, but it's better now. He got extra doze of pain killers for that hit. But he seems pretty alright, all in all. And apparently I'm a wuss who will almost faint at the sight of blood.

Should we rush him to the vet, considering it's after midnight, or wait until the morning? We think wait, to see if the bleeding will continue tomorrow and let him sleep the night. But I thought checking up here first.

It was a culture-clash thing

It's me, you remember? The one who thinks that "well, what false conscious is for, if not for dreams of the future?" is funny comeback when professor tells me on his aspirations and "that wasn't half as bad as the last thing I tried" is a joked compliment.

Lord, help the poor guy.
