I get confused. I remember everything. I remember too much, and... some of it's made up, and... some of it can't be quantified, and... there's secrets.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry, Jessica. I could see my dad doing the same thing and my mom getting annoyed by it, too. It sounds like he was trying to be thoughtful, which is something.

Well, the police, in the form of one nice young man, have come and gone. Officer Glenn, who could be McGee's southern cousin, did try to dust for prints, but the surface wasn't good for it. Or they were wiped off. Anyway, it doesn't look like anything was stolen. (My landlord has the neatest storage shed I've ever seen.) And I ended up putting in some nails to keep things as secure as they'll get without a new lock and hasp.

Thus endeth the first 15 minutes of Law & Order: Carrboro.

Our wings are not tired.

{{Jess & E}} I think it probably comes under either the pick your battles clause or the agree to disagree clause. Maybe might be covered under the can't teach an old dog new tricks part of the contract.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Jess, I use a formula for that kind of thing based on 1) how much I care and 2) how often does it happen.

So Jon leaving his belts everywhere is high for 2 but low for 1= no fight.

Also sweetiehead just called to let me know there's a pro choice rally at the bar!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I also got spam from Teppy. I feel included!

I was feeling left out of the Teppy spam, but just checked my secondary email account and had email from her. Now I feel all included and shit.

Hey, I got Teppy spam too, in my spam filter! I feel all validated. And if that had popped up in my inbox I'd have opened it quite quickly, because, hey, Teppy!

You guys are awesome! I'm amused at how many of the e-mails/comments I've gotten have been along the lines of, "Well, I knew it wasn't REALLY from you, because the punctuation was all fucked up!" My friends in IT, however, have been Sam-the-Eagle serious in telling me to scan my computer for malware, etc.

And for anyone who cares, I used to use a first name underscore last name @yahoo email address, but a couple of years ago started using that as my "spam" account. I check it occasionally. My "real" account is first name DOT last name@yahoo now.

I have noted this for future spamming.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Jessica, it occurs to me to wonder whether he truly doesn't get that there's a difference or if he prefers the good stuff and is trying to pass off the bagged stuff to you (I've spent a lot of time dealing with passive-aggressive nonsense, so this could be just me).

Trust my rage

Jess, I get it. I bought a bunch of cheese and bacon to top all my frozen dinners. So this morning i saw Joe eating bacon and i was all "that's not MY bacon, is it?" which I then realized me sound like an ass but he was interfering with my plan.

Our wings are not tired.

I just discovered that javachik used to work with my boss. HA! Oh, Buffistas. So, yeah, java, all those nice things I've been posting about my boss? That's her.

She is cool, a fave of mine from the old daze.

Oh I do not do well when someone fucks with THE PLAN.

Trust my rage

Yeah. I can be a bit OTT about it. I'm trying to relax a bit although it does have advantages.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hah! My two roommates used to have the opposite problem. B would eat the last of V's plastic cheese or something, and then replace it with some fancy sharp cheddar, which left V both without the stuff she wanted and insulted to boot.
