It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Gronk. I have gotten some work done, applied to one more job, found a few others where I will apply. Need to do laundry, return a phone call, and go to the pharmacy. I think those all might wait until tomorrow.

I'm glad you're finding more places to apply, Hil.

Well, the whole will-I-won't-I about class tonight just got taken out of my hands. I went outside and noticed that the landlord's shed's lock was busted, lying on the ground. No idea if anything's missing--I didn't check. (Not that I think they'll bust out the whole CSI deal for a lawnmower and a couple of sacks of fertilizer, or whatever was in there. Still, I watch too much acronym tv to tramp all over the evidence.) The landlord's out of town, so I'll be talking to a nice police officer or two for the next while.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Obviously, I watch too much acronym TV - I once watched a couple deal with a cop after their car had been broken into and, as they handled every knob, handle, and convenient surface on the car I was thinking "they won't get any fingerprints off THAT".

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Is it bitchy of me to be pissed that DH ate all the really good salad greens that I bought during the week for lunches and replaced them with a supermarket bag salad mix? It is, right? And I should get over it before he gets home so it doesn't turn into A Thing?

I mean, he probably thought he was being really thoughtful by replacing them and even bought Earthbound Farms, which I'm sure to him says "organic, just like Jess buys" and not "giant corporate agri-business who was part of that salmonella spinach recall last year."

(We have the same fights over him buying Horizon milk. IMO buying from an organic factory farm completely defeats the purpose. He's missing the gene that allows him to retain this information.)

I totally get the frustration - those bagged salads, even the best of them, have a weird taste to them. But I doubt you can get him to really grok what the problem is. I think your best chance at it is to present it to him in a "I really appreciate how you went out of your way to get the good Earthbound Farms stuff. I know this is completely picky, but I just do not like the flavor of the bagged stuff. So I hope you don't mind but from now on, to prevent mix-ups, maybe I should put a label on the greens I get specially for my lunches," or some such.
