If your email has a filter, put him on it. Otherwise, as the wise Bitches say, disengage. He's not worth the flare of emotion nor the time and ration of sense you have to spend on reading what he has tosay.
I didn't get Trudy's spam, but I'm on Tep's. Likewise with the lack-of-grammar clue.
Check. I have one more (purely factual) email I need to send after I get home today, but I will not send any other messages. Have cranked Rebirth Brass Band and am going to actually do some work. ::gasp:: And thank my lucky stars I got out when I did.
I'm maybe, possibly considering a low-residency MFA program in creative writing.
I may be possibly, probably out of my mind.
That would be awesome, Barb!
smonster, I think this calls for one of the Empress' famous smitings.
So I sent an email to the Head of School at the school where I'm applying to be director following up to be sure she had received my application and such, and I got this response:
Thanks, Kristin. I have indeed received your initial information, and will look out for the additional recommendations.
I am currently in NY for alumnae gatherings and will then be overseas for Spring Break. I will look forward to following up with you after April 7.
With kind regards,
Elizabeth (Liz)
This is good, right? I think this is good. I was worried that no response meant no interest.
I'm maybe, possibly considering a low-residency MFA program in creative writing.
Sox may be worth ping-ing, as she did this.
Go, Barb!
I'm glad the H of S let you know when you can expect to hear from her, PixKristin. I imagine that from now until April 7 would seem like forever otherwise.
smonster, if it's any less important than, "You can stop by to pick up your waterskis [or something else of his] on x date at y time," I'd say stop here.
Well, she's not saying it's coincidental.
I read the rest of ABB's post, and a few other posts on her blog, and I agree -- ABB's saying that others are making the argument that Vortex quoted. And it sounds like ABB, you, and I agree that -- at the very least -- the people making those arguments have some responsibility for whipping up the underlying anger.
Kristin - sounds good to me!
D has backed down and apologized (sort of). Still not going to re-engage.
Right. Work.
