Every nightmare I have that doesn't revolve around academic failure or public nudity is about that thing. In fact, once I dreamt that it attacked me while I was late for a test and naked.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Check. I have one more (purely factual) email I need to send after I get home today, but I will not send any other messages.

Want me to spam him?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Want me to spam him?

Ha! Tempting, but no.

“Not dead yet!”

I'm maybe, possibly considering a low-residency MFA program in creative writing.

I may be possibly, probably out of my mind.

The status is NOT quo.

That would be awesome, Barb!

smonster, I think this calls for one of the Empress' famous smitings.

So I sent an email to the Head of School at the school where I'm applying to be director following up to be sure she had received my application and such, and I got this response:

Thanks, Kristin. I have indeed received your initial information, and will look out for the additional recommendations.
I am currently in NY for alumnae gatherings and will then be overseas for Spring Break. I will look forward to following up with you after April 7.
With kind regards,
Elizabeth (Liz)

This is good, right? I think this is good. I was worried that no response meant no interest.

Sox may be worth ping-ing, as she did this.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Go, Barb!

I'm glad the H of S let you know when you can expect to hear from her, PixKristin. I imagine that from now until April 7 would seem like forever otherwise.

Ann, that's a ferret.

smonster, if it's any less important than, "You can stop by to pick up your waterskis [or something else of his] on x date at y time," I'd say stop here.

Well, she's not saying it's coincidental.

I read the rest of ABB's post, and a few other posts on her blog, and I agree -- ABB's saying that others are making the argument that Vortex quoted. And it sounds like ABB, you, and I agree that -- at the very least -- the people making those arguments have some responsibility for whipping up the underlying anger.

Kristin - sounds good to me!

D has backed down and apologized (sort of). Still not going to re-engage.

Right. Work.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I'll probably donate it to the next charity auction that comes along.

I was thinking that in your shoes I would do something like that. Are you sure you don't want to give me the guy's email addy, so I can sign him up for a variety of email newsletters?

Kristin, that response from the Head of School does sound good. Continued ~ma on that front.
