Connie, have you considered renting him out to medical schools? Educational for them, some money for you.
Yes. Yes, I have. And sometimes doctors will say "I've got some students here, can I bring them in?" I'm not sure what the protocol is for charging admission.
edit: On one of his back surgeries, there were staples that some medical idiot expected me to take out. Not happening. So we went into the clinic, and none of the residents knew how to do it, so it was instant seminar.
Ugh. I have to go outside and talk to my uncle and tell him that since we have to move and save for a security deposit and 1st months reant, we can't afford to pay him, but that we'll be out by June 1. Do Not Want.
It isn't like he gave you a lot of options, Aims.
What's he going to do about it? Not really anything he can. If he goes to evict you, it will take at least that long to go through the process AND it will get him a call to the IRS about some unreported income.
Aims, listen to Cashmere. She is wise.
She is also vindictive.
And, she is hot. This statement just confirms that.
Ugh ugh ugh.
Now he's saying that he didn't mean that we would need to move. And that by us not paying him will fuck him over.
So Joe is going to look at some other options so that we can still move before/by June 1 but maybe not screw my uncle over totally. I don't care about screwing him over, quite frankly. He's talking about how he doesn't know where his (adult) daughters are going to spend the summer to which I replied, "I can't deal with the uncertainty of not knowing where to live. I have a 5 year old. I don't have grown daughters that live on their own. I need to provide her a stable house and this isn't it."
Whatever. I'm so over his trying to play the fucking victim in our society. Get over yourself dickhead. The only people who can totally subvert the system are those who are either a) independently wealthy or b) Ted Kysinski.
Oy, Aims. I have no idea how to deal with that.
My officemate informed me that he has family friends who are Jewish, and going over to their house for dinner is always a "cultural experience," and the food is always delicious. If I can't find somebody else willing to drive me out to Rockville, I think I'll just stick with whatever Passover food I can get at Safeway -- I am not in the mood to be someone's cultural experience right now.
I do not think his logic resembles our Earth logic, Aims.
Yeah, Hil, this year, particularly, being the Jewish exhibit doesn't sound like fun.
