In other academic news, we may have managed to lay down the law - literally - with my prospective university. We'll see tomorrow if the promises made by the registrar have actually reached the admissions people.

Rewatching Lost is particularly weird now that we're at the end of season three.

I knew nothing about Roger Ebert. But having looked him up, and his voice synthesizing technology, I'm impressed. Better than the one my friend uses.

I just ordered groceries. Pricey, but I'll have food. Weirdly, Peapod has a whole ton of frozen fake meat products, but they don't have just plain tofu.

I had a "follow up" doctor's appointment today with the urologist. It wasn't really a follow up because he thought I'd already been to the big teaching hospital to talk to them. And I thought I was going to be getting information about that at this appointment. At this point my doctor is going to call them and try to see what went wrong and also have them call me.

So it was a big waste of time and I really should have gone back to work to save my leave time but I didn't.

I KNOW! I am bitter about my ass right now, even before the steps incident. I wear these HRT patches, and I was wearing these wee clear patches I changed every 3.5 days, but since I have no insurance, I had to switch to the generic (the Vivelle dots were $90 w/0 insurance) and they are these huge, ugly patches you wear for a week, and they give me horrible contact dermaitis.

You can see all these shadows of big ol' circles on my ass from the previous weeks; dry skin, redness, and now I have welts and bruises and scratches. I am NOT PLEASED.

Ok, some grading done. I am going to amble around the block with the Hyper Dog -- it's sunny and 38 degrees. Then I will take a hot bath, eat some more Tylenol for my outraged buttocks and grade some more.

I have achieved going outside. Went around the corner to CVS and bought chips and cereal. My sister suggested trying crutches, at least until my ankle feels well enough to walk more than a block or so, so I checked CVS for crutches, and they had two pairs, but both were too tall for me. It seems I need kid-sized crutches.

thanks! I'm sure he's knocking 'em dead as we speak. Boy did he look sharp walking out the door this morning. Let's hope he didn't get too wrinkly on the 2 1/2 hour bus ride to Sherman Oaks. Please don't feel bad- we're used to being unemployed at this point.
