We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

(I posted in this in Literary, but I'm xposting with Natter and Bitches to get the most feedback, because I am so interested in this. If it works, imagine the Buffistas lending community!)

Hey, anyone buy ebooks through Barnes and Noble?

They have a Lend an Ebook beta and I would love to know if anyone has tried it. SO far, you can do it on your PC and a Nook, but they say it's coming for iPhone/Touch soon.

I think I have one of the books in the Beta, but I would LOVE to try it out with someone.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I don't know about that, Erin. I used to do Bookcrossing where you release books into the wild but they also have a book exchange program I never tried.

edit... oh wait Ebooks... nope, I don't have the technology.

Earlier my roommate was telling me about a dream he had where I got a job offer. Five minutes later someone called who wants to interview him! Knock-em-dead~ma would be appreciated for him, 2pm tomorrow.

Laga, I have posted in Literary. I have a couple of books eligible, if anyone wants to try it.

(I am kinda geeking out about it! I hope it works!)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hee. I hpoe that dream stuff is still in effect becuase I dreamt that someone donated us $23,500. Stated they wanted to cover our whole budget. Which that would`t quite do, but super close. That was a rough realization upon waking, I tell you what.

Speaking of King of the Hill and swear words that aren`t, I do say "asinine" a lot. And "execrable", too. Plus "disingenuous" in arguments. And "criminey." If you spit it with the intensity of profanity it works as profanity.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I made an appointment with my doctor to talk over pain management and stuff. The earliest available appointment was the first week of April.

That which does not kill you should RUN

Has anyone here taken any Feldenkrais classes? If so, were they of any benefit, or are they hippy-trippy new agey hoo-ha?

Never tried Feldenkrais.

Why won't my advisor respond to my emails? Actually, I know why -- it's because I'm emailing him to try to set up a meeting to discuss the chapters I sent him last week, and I know he hasn't even started reading them yet. I just sent him yet another email telling him that my joints are in a lot of pain this week and I really need to figure out my schedule for each day ahead of time because I really can't just stay at the office for an extra few hours on a whim, and could he please tell me what time he can meet with me. I seriously doubt I'll get a response.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The Wikipedia entry on the Feldenkrais Method makes it sound rather impressive. "Current research on the neuro-plasticity, by scientists as Norman Doidge and Michael Merzenich may support Feldenkrais' key theories of the possibilities of somatic re-education." "Feldenkrais' background as a physicist, engineer and Judo master deeply informed his research." Now I want to find a class. Although I wonder if it isn't very much like Tai Chi.

I hurt and nothing is helping and I don't like it.

Also, I need to go grocery shopping, and I'm not sure I can manage it. I hate ordering grocery delivery -- the produce is always gross, and they always manage to run out of exactly one ingredient in each thing I was planning to make.

"Somewhere in this building is our talent." Toby Ziegler, my spirit animal

I had a friend on TT use it on her daughter's CP. Seems worth a shot, but not being a growing child, people were less enthusiastic about working on me
