Kaylee: Captain seem a little funny to you at breakfast this morning? Wash: Come on, Kaylee. We all know I'm the funny one.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Have landed. Early! Waiting for gate. Ear plugs + noise cancelling headphones = sleep on a plane. Could still hear baby, but it helped a ton. The vibrations seemed to freak her out the most.

Pix, can't do too late myself. I have to be in Irvine by 8:45. Oy. 405 on Monday rush hour.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Ugh. Slept most of the day, still hurt, and got another job rejection. Also saw that the place where I had a phone interview has invited a bunch of people for campus interviews, and I am not one of them, but I kind of didn't expect to be, because I did horribly at that phone interview. I seem to be doing better than average at getting interviews, but then worse than average at getting a second interview once I've had the first.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Hi. I forgot what I'd meant to be saying.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Aw, Leeds! Leeds is a lovely city! Sorry it doesn't have the academic stuff you want, though.

Oh, Hil, damn it. Wishing you much job-ma.

Sneaky!Ryan slays me.

Civil Unrest Update: so far, so good! Tentative yay!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Sneaky!Ryan slays me.

And you'll never see it coming! If you're easily taken in by the "Look! Over there!" school of deception.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hello, hello! Look at me! Using the internet to Not Work.

Which is good, actually, instead of a Bad Thing, strangely enough.

I have 1 on-line English 101 that started almost two weeks ago that is kicking my ass (learning the platform, creating templates, ALL grammar exercises the first week -- ugh, and have another on-line 101 class at the same uni that starts 3.14, and I scored two more face-to-face junior-level writing classes at a tech college in KC, which start 3/15.

I am busy, and will be busier. But I will also be GETTING PAID for the first time since October, which is OMG so awesome. I feel like I finally have real insight into what housewives pre-60's felt like: "Please, honey, may I have $2 for milk."

Totally not a dis on my fiance, who has been awesome about me being unemployed, but, man, it has fucking grated on my feminism and my fucking pride. HATES DEPENDENCY, precious.

I am happy to see everyone, and have totally just skimmed the last 50 posts or so, so I hope everything is well.

Our wings are not tired.

Erin, that paycheck is going to feel so damned good. I am happy for you.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Congrats on the pay, Erin!

Sorry to hear about the job, Hil. It's good that you're getting a lot of interviews. I hope one leads to something really soon.

Aw, Leeds! Leeds is a lovely city! Sorry it doesn't have the academic stuff you want, though.

Oh, it's not at all bad. I was there for my MA last year - they have great disability-related research going on. I could definitely go back there if they offered me funding. If they don't, though, it's Derby all the way, and we'll find somewhere to live. We were looking at places in Nottingham online last night. That looks possible - and cheaper!
