Yay, paychecks!!
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Congrats on the pay, Erin!
Sorry to hear about the job, Hil. It's good that you're getting a lot of interviews. I hope one leads to something really soon.
Aw, Leeds! Leeds is a lovely city! Sorry it doesn't have the academic stuff you want, though.
Oh, it's not at all bad. I was there for my MA last year - they have great disability-related research going on. I could definitely go back there if they offered me funding. If they don't, though, it's Derby all the way, and we'll find somewhere to live. We were looking at places in Nottingham online last night. That looks possible - and cheaper!
Erin, I say make a xerox copy of that check! Congrats!!
Yay for paycheck and renewed independence, Erin!
Erin, yay for the paycheck! I got one in this week for the work that I did at vw's school, which was nice and kind of weird.
Fay! It is good to see you posting this morning! I'm glad that things have stayed quiet there.
I'm out of the happy no swelling pills, and I am already not a happy girl. Must get over phone fear and call my doctor on Monday.
I'm not sure I can handle my current job much longer. If I make a small procedural mistake, it turns into a big production, and BETRAYAL of TRUST.
Sigh
Must get over phone fear and call my doctor on Monday.
From the blog The Introvert's Corner, Don't Call Us, We’ll Call … Well, No, Actually We Probably Won’t...
I'll make everyone's phone calls if people will come organize my house and do my freaking paperwork. Personal paperwork. My business life is well-organized. My personal life is a shambling mess.
I"m tempted, Zen. Note that my house and personal paperwork are totally disorganized, but dealing with other people's stuff is so much easier.
Can someone call the person we're sorta friends with about hosting Jon's boss's engagement party. He used to work at the bar; we've known him for ages, though not as part of our inner circle. And yet? Phone fear.
Food at home has been working amazingly well. I've had cherry tomato salad, dark cherry monkey bread, breakfast casserole, potato bacon soup, homemade french bread pizza, baked pasta shells and sauce and Italian sausage pie this week. That's not even counting the eggs/bacon/sausage/biscuits/toast/waffles breakfasts Jon has made the past few days.
ION: Wednesday the oldest customer Jon has at The Grapevine turned 92!
