Do you know what else has blood in it? Blood.

Spike ,'Sleeper'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

This movie reminds me -- I've got a baseball cap that's a replica of the New York Bloomer Girls one. I've had it for a while, and the brim won't really hold a curve anymore, so I want to get a new one. I bought this one from Title Nine Sports, but they don't seem to sell them anymore, and Google isn't giving me any luck. Anybody know if there's any company that still makes these? Title Nine used to sell about three different teams, and I saw a website once that had a whole bunch more, but I can't remember where.

Would love to see y'all too. Is ND up for a trip down to LBC? I don't want to stay out too late on Sunday, as Monday is VERY early.

Our wings are not tired.

I'm ridiculously modest. At the same time, I am not weirded out by OB/GYN visits.

Was it here we were talking about ancient history and the boards? Sean found his first post here, which made me go looking for mine. And I was way frustrated until ita pointed out the threadsucking thing (so easy to search with Google toolbar and a threadsuck) and I finally remembered that my first posts here were in 2006 in GWW. I had already known many of you for almost two years over in another forum. The thing that strikes me about my first few posts here was how nice I was. Ha! Little did you know.

Also, I was on Salon back when all you all were, but not in the Buffy threads. It's like finding out we were neighbors and sometimes crossed paths 15 years ago, ya know? I was mostly in the books, travel and movies threads back then (under my full real name).

Pix, can we all rally at Laga's Sunday evening? Hang out at her place?

Almost done packing. Just waiting for socks to dry more. Finally found tie clip. Yes, I only have one. And luggage frustrations. I was trying to fit in smaller bag, but the one is too short to push when walking on the crutches. The other small one that has extended handle is *too* small. :: sigh :: so, regular sized bag it is. Boy it will be light. Even though I overpacked a bit.

ETA

Packing done, just toothbrush in the AM. Supershuttle arrives in less than 6 hours! Yikes. Must get sleep.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

So proud of the little man. He practised his very first deception today. Wallybee's diary was on the floor. He knows she'll take it away if he tries to grab it, so instead of making a beeline for it, he chose a path crawling past it instead - and then, when he thought he was close enough, made a grab for it.

My baby has a theory of mind! *sniff* They grow up so fast. Into lying liars who lie.

Aw bt, he will be a mastermind that takes over the world. So cute.

I am awake. On the shuttle. English driver. From Essex on the coast. In my low sleep brain he sounded Aussie. We marveled at how many English accents for such a small island, and how Aussies sound a lot more alike for such a big island. He quipped that they must have arrested his whole home town and shipped around the world.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I was trying to fit in smaller bag, but the one is too short to push when walking on the crutches.

How come no one's made a remote control suitcase? You clip a transmitter on your belt, and the suitcase rolls itself after you. If a Roomba can maneuver itself around objects and find its docking station by itself, a suitcase ought to be able to follow its owner through an airport. Maybe with an alarm that goes off if it's hijacked or gets too far away.

My baby has a theory of mind! *sniff* They grow up so fast. Into lying liars who lie.

Aww! I love it when babies learn to lie.

I am disappointed. I ordered a blazer from Magellan's, because I want a jacket with security pockets on the inside (why is this so hard to find?). It's so tight across the shoulders/back, I can't lift my arms. I should have known - I have that problem with almost all blazers and jackets. What is it? Are they just badly made and I ought to buy better quality, or are my shoulders disproportionately huge?
