Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I was going to bring up how our country used immoral techniques to find some terror suspects, offering bribes to people who would point the finger and arresting probably innocent people in the process. But when I seached the internet to find info to back up my argument I only found references to MI5 doing this. I could have sworn that's how a lot of people ended up in Guantanamo. Does anyone else remember hearing this?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

This isn't even a difficult task, but my anxiety and hence avoidance is through the fucking roof. And actually I'm going to miss two deadlines, one of which was already an extension. For an application for my program to get an AWARD. ::headdesk::

Aw, smonster. I am intimately familiar with the planecrash spiral of anxiety and avoidance when faced with what is, supposedly, a simple task. Here, let me provide you with an example: HUD owes me $2000, from when I sold my previous house. All I have to do is send them copies of a few pieces of paperwork, which I have, and they'll send me the money. I've known about this since 2001. And I have still not done it. The longer I put it off, the more difficult it seems to become. Dude, it's $2000! Not even money motivates me to get past the block of anxiety, and I don't even know why. I have no clue what I'm afraid of.

Thanks, Laura. The Vicodin is helping me feel a bit better. My joints are not going to be in anything resembling a fit state for skating for a while now.

There was just a commercial for a new Cutting Edge movie. I know I'm going to have to watch it.

I read somewhere that something like 7 of the 23 players on the US men's hockey team are named Ryan.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Laga, I recall hearing stories. But what I heard was nationals of Iraq and Afghanistan were the ones pointing fingers and turning folks in. They were given a finders fee/bounty of some such from the coalition of the willing. But I can't say with certainty.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Laga, there is one very specific instance of this: An Afghan guerilla comander turned in an innocent Afghan taxi driver named Dilawar over to the US military. Dilawar was subequently detained at Bagram Prison where he was systematically interrogated, beaten and tortured. He died in US custody. His death certficate, signed by a US military pathologist listed his cause of death as homicide. The guerilla responsible for Dilawar's arrest was subsequently arrested for bombing Camp Salerno. He had turned over innocent "suspects" to the US Military to both throw suspicion off himself and to win the trust of his US allies.

To say the least, erika. It sucks.

I have a rash on my face, I'm exhausted and I'm losing a lot of hair. Someone tell me not to google symptoms of lupus.

Don't worry, it's never lupus... (/House)
