Did you get the job where you hoped you'd be able to commute?
No, I actually have not heard from them. I'm assuming they are interviewing others and liked me enough to not want to cut me loose, but might prefer someone else. But I had a client who had a hearing 2.5 hours south of here at 8:30 am. That's why I was up so early. Their hearing went really well - I always feel a little uncomfortable getting too detailed, but yesterday went a long way towards resolving their legal problems. And since they are two teenagers with no parents, it made me very happy.
Oh, okay. I don't ever skim so would have been surprised if I hadn't remembered such a momentous event.

I had another dirty dream about Hugh Laurie.
Last night I dreamed I needed to take my giant Mecha-Kong to the airport. At first I wanted to take the subway, but then I realized the Mecha-Kong was too big. Instead the Mecha-Kong waded in the East River while I rode in its skull.
The East River was gross! There was trash from McDonalds floating by, and Mecha-Kong had to pick up and examine it.
Tom wins at dreams! Except for maybe the gross river stuff. But still.
I had the boring dream last night, about work! It was kinda cool, because Jim Beaver of SPN was one of the teachers I worked with, only all I ever saw of him was the notes he left students on their homework that I was mailing back to them.
