Mal: You want to tell me how come there's a statue of you here looking at me like I owe him something? Jayne: Wishing I could, Captain.

'Jaynestown'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Wow.

That kinda rocks.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The East River was gross! There was trash from McDonalds floating by, and Mecha-Kong had to pick up and examine it.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Tom wins at dreams! Except for maybe the gross river stuff. But still.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Coolest. Dream. Ever.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I had the boring dream last night, about work! It was kinda cool, because Jim Beaver of SPN was one of the teachers I worked with, only all I ever saw of him was the notes he left students on their homework that I was mailing back to them.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I had another dirty dream about Hugh Laurie.

Braggart.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Last cute boy dream I had featured Christian Kane. Wasn't very naughty, but was very cute. His hair was great.

Last I had started as Hugh Laurie for the banter and then once it got to the making out like crazed weasels, he became Colin Firth. Nice work, subconscious!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I am now up to page 80 of my dissertation. Almost there!

I've also discussed the math job search a bit with some other people, and it seems like nearly everybody except people with really great research is in the same place as me -- interviews, and then silence.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

His hair was great.

Snerk!
