Kaylee: So, uh, how come you don't care where you're going? Book: 'Cause how you get there is the worthier part.

Delurking 1: Because we don't always check our e-mail.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Much more point (and pointy buckly boots) to lurking on a.g.f. You could actually, like, LEARN things there. A.g. was just a huge timesuck and little fun without some level of engagement. At least IMHO. But then i gave up about 10 years ago and haven't peeked in since except for brief forays nearabout convergences.

Somebody new needs to delurk; I am trying to avoid morning tasks. Can I get some support (not in e-mail), here, people?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Maybe we should just invent a Mary Sue Lurker.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I could try getting Ryan to delurk. I believe he has some penetrating insights to share about feeds, along the lines of "blblblblbl".

Yeah! That would definitely use up some time. Because you know how long it would take to reach a consensus on what a Buffista Mary Sue would be like? Just the cilantro/olive/serial comma decisions alone...

ETA: Have at it, bt! The sprog are bound to take over one day. Why not today?

...all my words have been taken by my work. - Mala

I could change my user name and re-delurk.

Or perhaps instead may I suggest that Mary Sue Lurker works for the OED defining new words and re-defining old ones.

information libertarian

That would be our erinaceous.

One of the problems with the b.org is that several of our members are pretty much real-life Mary Sues, ruining it for the rest of us.

I could change my user name and re-delurk.

That's the spirit!

Right? But then there's the benefit of being able to brag on them in an amazingly vast array of topics in cocktail conversation. Not that I remember the last time I had an actual cocktail conversation. Still.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

As flea said, we already have one of those.
