I don't give a good gorram about relevant, Wash. Or objective. And I ain't so afraid of losing something that I ain't gonna try to have it. You and I would make one beautiful baby. And I want to meet that child one day. Period.

One of the problems with the b.org is that several of our members are pretty much real-life Mary Sues, ruining it for the rest of us.

Right? But then there's the benefit of being able to brag on them in an amazingly vast array of topics in cocktail conversation. Not that I remember the last time I had an actual cocktail conversation. Still.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Or perhaps instead may I suggest that Mary Sue Lurker works for the OED defining new words and re-defining old ones.

As flea said, we already have one of those.

See what I'm saying? This Mary Sue Buffista thing would take a LOT of work.

...all my words have been taken by my work. - Mala

Of course you already have one of those. How silly of me. (Consider my mind boggled).

Let's see if I can dream up the perfect Buffista job that isn't already occupied.

Mary Sue Lurker would delurk in October but sadly she's on assignment in Milan reviewing the Winter shoe lines for Vanity Fair.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Shambles! Yay for more Canadians!

I'm excited that I helped encourage a delurk. And clearly one of very high quality.

Montreal is a great city and I have a bunch of family there. Next time I visit, I'll post in Apocolypse and we could have a mini-F2F!

Many welcomes to the other delurkers, too: ehab, Leigh (almost a name overlap - I'm a Louise), Una, Maysa and anyone else I missed. This is a very fun thread.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I once tried to arrest the Prime Minister. I didn't succeed.

Want. Story. Now.

I, too, hope it was Thatcher. (Just as long as it wasn't Major.)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I, too, hope it was Thatcher.

Reminds me of the anarchist joke Rick tells on The Young Ones....

Knock knock.

Who's there?

Thatcher!

Yep, that's the entire joke.

Of course, Montréal is on the East Coast and, as such, could be proposed as the site of this year's F2F.

Punishingly Intricate

hey ya'll! I may as well be a full on lurker these days. I'm hobbled by busier job (yay work) and sharing an office and no computer at home (which is changing as of tomorrow I think). (I enjoy parenthesis! And exclamation marks!!! and I over and misuse the word 'AWESOME')

Anyway, I'm lisah and I've been around since maybe the 4th thread on TT? For many a year at any rate. Over the years I've posted inconsistently but I've kept up pretty well.

I live in B'more which, like sarameg, I love!!! I am a technical writer/editor (and, recently, de facto project manager, oi) for a small but rapidly growing software company that does exceptionally boring work for the gov't. I also sing in rock bands. And promote the awesomeness of my city. I run an assisted living facility for two elderly cats and one verrrrry elderly dog. After being single for many years I met an amazing guy at, of all places, a baby shower last year. Sadly, he lived in Chicago. Happily, he moved here a few months ago and now lives with me in my house!!! I'm still pretty freaking excited about all that!

I LOVE olives, am okay with cilantro, really don't understand why you wouldn't use the serial comma, and think an extra space after sentences is pointless.

Because books.

I love that the extra space has now become a de facto part of the ... de facto Buffista survey.
