If every vampire who said he was at the crucifixion was actually there, it would have been like Woodstock.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Hello, all. I am a complete newcomer to posting at b.org. I used to lurk here a lot, when I was missing the Buffy-centric chat of halcyon days in other places, but this messageboard seemed very fast-paced (although awesome) and I was always too nervous to post. Recently, a friend reminded me about b.org, when I said I was missing online fandom discussion. This time, I plucked up the courage to post. I'm rather pleased I did. The people here are fab.

I live in London, UK, where I share a small, perpetually messy flat with The Girl, my extremely long-suffering partner. (I say she's the long-suffering one, but I think I put up exceptionally patiently with her mess.) We watch everything together, from Buffy back-episodes to House, but she doesn't admit to being a geek. I'm a former English teacher, now pursuing academic interests in sociology/social research (specifically, disability studies). I'm currently trying to fill that awkward post-M.A. year. Hence why I have time to post. Dissertation procrastination: it's the best.

I can mostly be found in Bitches, but I also pop into Comedy (for HIMYM), Procedurals (for House), Boxed Set, the Dollhouse thread and Natter (when the speed doesn't scare me off). And one or two others.

Should FCM and BINAO/DINAO go into our FAQ or the like?

They did have me rather confused at first. But the point about them being Out There is a good one (even if I always missed them. I always miss everything).

Good lord, it'll be 10 years come January, though I posted with a few of you elsewhere for maybe a couple years before that. Maybe.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hi, Abby! And yay for posting!

Trust my rage

This is fun! Even if Abby is our only real lurker, so far.

Well, I'm Stephanie and I've been around since March, 2004, I think. I just recently moved back to Colorado Springs (and updated my map entry) and I'm hoping to stay here for a while. I live with my husband, two kids, and two dogs.

I used to post more regularly, but kids and other life have gotten in the way. Still, I lurk a lot these days because buffistas are fun people. I post in the show threads, although I rarely watch the shows in real time, and occasionally in Bitches and Natter.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

I think I can also claim semi-lurker status.

I'm Ouise, and I live in Halifax, Canada, where we have a nice little cluster of current and former Buffistas who get together regularly.

I've been around since Table Talk (starting sometime in 2001, I think). I know I met the localistas for the first time in May 2001.

I'm much shyer online than in person (hence the not posting very much.) I mostly hang out in Natter, Literary, Movies and Non-Fiction, with occasional forays to other threads.

Claim to fame: both my sisters are also Buffistas (RahRah and Helena Handbasket). I have a brother as well, who isn't a Buffista, but 3 out of 4 isn't bad.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ouise! I miss our Haligonian contingent.

Always Anti-fascist!

Hi, I'm Erika I've been a Buffista for either five or six years. I'm a crime freak and actually follow the local homicide rates like people here follow baseball. I have a significant physical disability and use a wheelchair full-time. Delurkers, I'd be stoked if one of you also came from the Grand Canyon State. For a desert dweller, I'm a little Queens Boulevard, but my favorite compliment was coming onto a new board and reading "What part of Baltimore you from, hon?" Best review I've gotten to date. I am one of the reasons there is a Premium thread, because I used to get excited to see my boy Corwood in Movies and make vulgar and incomprehensible allusions to shows nobody else seemed to be watching. They told us to get a room...I mean, thread. I'm a writer and though I came late to profanity, I think tagging Rahm Emanuel proves that I have embraced it like it was Dana Gordon in Cancun in '92.(I guess I still do the allusion thing. Sorry.)

Librarian Warlord

I've started lurking at TT, and can't remember when I delurked, but I know that Perkins made me finally do so. I've read the board at work from my jobs at universities in New Jersey, California and now DC. I live just over the Maryland line with my DH, 4 month old girl, and 2 year old beagle.

I can be found nattering in Natter, bitching in Bitches, and in some of the show threads from time to time, when I actually get a chance to watch TV.

eta: Oh! and the poster otherwise known as Sox is my real-life cousin.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Ouise! Abby! Hi!

Hello, my name is juliana, and I'm a Buffista.

Hi, Juliana!

(Sorry, sorry.) I delurked on TT in Five By Five, I'm pretty sure. Wandered away during WX, came back at the Phoenix.

I used to live in MSP with my ex-husband, but when I got divorced, the awesome people here made it possible to move to San Francisco, where I discovered the joys of Fernet. I can never thank you enough for that, but my liver might have some words for you. I'm finishing up my last course to get a Certificate in Graphic Design, because theater doesn't pay and I can't stand office assistant jobs anymore.

Since I'm working primarily as a bartender/server these days, I'm much more lurky, but I tend to hang out in Natter, Bitches, and Supernatural, with occasional blatherings in Movies and bandom takeovers in Music.
