Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

I think I can also claim semi-lurker status.

I'm Ouise, and I live in Halifax, Canada, where we have a nice little cluster of current and former Buffistas who get together regularly.

I've been around since Table Talk (starting sometime in 2001, I think). I know I met the localistas for the first time in May 2001.

I'm much shyer online than in person (hence the not posting very much.) I mostly hang out in Natter, Literary, Movies and Non-Fiction, with occasional forays to other threads.

Claim to fame: both my sisters are also Buffistas (RahRah and Helena Handbasket). I have a brother as well, who isn't a Buffista, but 3 out of 4 isn't bad.

If Scooby Doo taught me anything, it's that the only thing to fear is real-estate developers.Lisa Simpson

Hi, I'm Erika I've been a Buffista for either five or six years. I'm a crime freak and actually follow the local homicide rates like people here follow baseball. I have a significant physical disability and use a wheelchair full-time. Delurkers, I'd be stoked if one of you also came from the Grand Canyon State. For a desert dweller, I'm a little Queens Boulevard, but my favorite compliment was coming onto a new board and reading "What part of Baltimore you from, hon?" Best review I've gotten to date. I am one of the reasons there is a Premium thread, because I used to get excited to see my boy Corwood in Movies and make vulgar and incomprehensible allusions to shows nobody else seemed to be watching. They told us to get a room...I mean, thread. I'm a writer and though I came late to profanity, I think tagging Rahm Emanuel proves that I have embraced it like it was Dana Gordon in Cancun in '92.(I guess I still do the allusion thing. Sorry.)

Librarian Warlord

I've started lurking at TT, and can't remember when I delurked, but I know that Perkins made me finally do so. I've read the board at work from my jobs at universities in New Jersey, California and now DC. I live just over the Maryland line with my DH, 4 month old girl, and 2 year old beagle.

I can be found nattering in Natter, bitching in Bitches, and in some of the show threads from time to time, when I actually get a chance to watch TV.

eta: Oh! and the poster otherwise known as Sox is my real-life cousin.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Ouise! Abby! Hi!

Hello, my name is juliana, and I'm a Buffista.

Hi, Juliana!

(Sorry, sorry.) I delurked on TT in Five By Five, I'm pretty sure. Wandered away during WX, came back at the Phoenix.

I used to live in MSP with my ex-husband, but when I got divorced, the awesome people here made it possible to move to San Francisco, where I discovered the joys of Fernet. I can never thank you enough for that, but my liver might have some words for you. I'm finishing up my last course to get a Certificate in Graphic Design, because theater doesn't pay and I can't stand office assistant jobs anymore.

Since I'm working primarily as a bartender/server these days, I'm much more lurky, but I tend to hang out in Natter, Bitches, and Supernatural, with occasional blatherings in Movies and bandom takeovers in Music.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Abby! ::waves::

Hi, I'm Plei or PMM (short form of first name and initials respectively). I used to lurk on TT, delurked on WX in late 2001 in the Goodbye and Good Riddance thread, because it was a STUNNINGLY crappy year, and have been here ever since.

I live in Seattle with my spouse, my three cats, and my almost 4 1/2 year old daughter.

I'd probably like hitting people, but I don't like getting hit, so I've never tried it as a hobby.

I'm a fangirl, although this name is not my fandom name. (That's Minim Calibre.)

My job + parenthood keeps me less active with the posting than I used to be, alas. I keep up in Bitches, Natter, Supernatural, Music, Literary, GWW, Fanfiction, Minearverse, and probably a couple others I'm forgetting.

Hello, my board name is Abby, and I'm an actual lurker, unlike all these posts before me!

Ahahaha, I know, right?

WANT MOAR LURKERS. GOOD EATING ON A LURKER.

Hi Brenda! Hi Juliana!

I miss our Haligonian contingent.

It's true, Sue's been holding up all the weight for the Haligonians lately.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Greetings! I am le nubian. I took my name from a band I really liked called "les nubians". I am not a francophone, so a perhaps better nickname should have been la nubian, but it is a little late for that now. Yes, I have girly bits.

I have been around for awhile. I started off with the buffistas back at Salon, following the group to worldcrossing in the Great Migration, and am here now. Although Buffy and Angel are off the air, I am still here because I love all you people.

I am a California native displaced to the midwest (graduate school and job keeps me here thus far). I have recently taken up bowling as a hobby, but otherwise, I love mystery novels and true crime, and crime related tv. If it is a procedural, I've seen it and/or watch it regularly. I love tech gadgets and computer crap (though I'm an intermediate user, not an expert).

Most frequently visited threads: comedies, cable dramas, lost, procedurals, premium tv, jossverse, minear, movies, non-fiction, boxed set, other media (mostly a lurker there), spoilers (hard core and lite), supernatural and technology.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Hello! As can be seen my board name is SailAweigh, often shortened to Sail. I'll answer to that in person, even, although my parents named me Ellen and I'll answer to that, if used. I found the Buffistas while they were on WX, but didn't join and delurk until we took our show on the road and became b.org. I officially delurked on Christmas day of 2002. Best gift I ever got.

I live in Madison, WI where I am currently unemployed (drat this economy.) I am single, have two grown kids (who live away from home, yay), live with two cats and have a healthy relationship with my vacuum cleaner. Not that way, you pervs, it's to keep up with the cat hair. A good vacuum cleaner is a must. ;P (Please pardon the emoticon, but tone is important on the innernets!)

Being unemployed, I'm keeping up with Natter, for once, but can most commonly be found in Bitches, Great Write Way, Supernatural, Procedurals, Boxed Set, Non-fiction, Fan Fiction, Jossverse, Minearverse, Movies, Other Media, Cable Drama, Heroes (although, I'm not quite caught up with all of last season) and, now that I know Glee is in Comedy (why did I not think of that?), you will probably find me there, too.

Welcome, Abby! I hope we get more delurking, this is fun!

editted because I didn't realize just how many threads I was subscribed to until I checked my message center!
