Barb? Boring? Errr... I am having cognitive dissonance on that.... cannot process...
Delurking 1: Because we don't always check our e-mail.
Hello! I'm mostly lurky for various reasons, but I do think about the board every day. Peanut is almost 11 months old, and is excellent at giving side-eye. We're still in our cozy flat in SF, I'm still bartending (sadly, but needs must), and our two cats are getting excellent at baby-avoidance.
(Waves hello)
I've been largely lurky barring the occasional comment, mostly due to work being absolutely crazy-cakes at the moment thanks to some pending legislation. Other than that, things are going well. The cats (Finn and Eddie) are still adorable, and I'm still painting and writing when time and available brain cells permit. I did manage to lose a lot of ground on strength training due to a minor injury (bad landing when falling off something) and subsequent busyness, but I'm easing back into it.
It's nice to come by and see names that make me feel comforted and nostalgic. I'm mostly gone and can't even claim lurking status that much anymore. I feel in touch because I have interaction on Facebook and evidently, in my mind, transfer that back to here as if it's the same. I identify with the board in my heart, but reality is that I haven't posted in a long time.
A Facebook post alerted me to check the board, and while I was here I remembered the October thread. I'm sorry for the reason I needed to check the board but glad to get in on the October homecoming this year.
Hello, Theresa and Anne W. and juliana! And anyone else I didn't say hi to. It's good to see all of you.
having just looked through registered members list, I have this to say.
COME ON OUT you many many people I have never seen post. We would love to meet you!
What Zenkitty said, and what msbelle said.
Weirdly enough, I feel better not being the only slacker. And like Theresa, I feel connected because I talk to so many of you on FB. This place, man...it's home.
I now have a mental image of msbelle as Glinda the good witch, singing "come out, come out, wherever you are-- and meet the young lady who fell from w star".
good lord, if I ever play Glenda (who I believe was really NOT AT ALL NICE), check for flying pigs and snow in hell. although I will sing.
