It's good to see familiar people posting again.
I'm going through one of those inarticulate phases. I read here everyday, but there's not a lot going on with me right now, and I don't actually have a lot to say. No doubt that's subject to change, though.
I feel like that myself, although I also feel like I have been super-talky lately. It is always good to see you whether you have much to say or not, Bev.
::waves to all the other lurky people::
Hi Emily and Cash!
Since I started my new job in June, I barely even have time to lurk, much less post. At least, at work. I try to read some in the evenings, but by then I'm sort of brain dead and all I want to do is wallow in fanfic to fortify myself for the coming day. I'm thinking nice thoughts at everyone, though!
Thinking good thoughts your way, too, Sail!
I post sometimes; other times I lurk. Often I feel like I have nothing to say.
I rarely post weird links to Natter anymore, as I'm more likely to post them to FB.
Hi to all the lurkers!
here for the annual de-lurking ritual...
Let's see - still living in Ottawa, being a civil servant. VERY VERY VERY happy with the outcome of this election and very hopeful it will mean real change. And not just because the PM-designate is super hot. (his wife is also ridiculously attractive).
In the last few years I've started playing around with writing fiction, finished a couple of short stories which haven't found any "official" homes, kept playing with it until I finished a first draft of a novel. Oops. So that's a work in progress. I'm always thrilled to read about Buffista writers and Sox, I have a copy of Updraft waiting for me to get around to it...it's battling for priority with the research and writing of my own, I'm sure you know how that goes :)
A while back I decided I needed some comfort TV and began a re-watch of Buffy. Somewhat selective re-watch. A few season 1 eps, all of 2 and 3 and 4, pretty much. One of my very favourite moments in the whole series is when Willow comes out to Buffy about Tara, I've decided. I am now in the heavy-duty slogging of Season 5. After some hesitation, yes I watched The Body, just this morning. Still one of the most heartbreaking and beautiful eps of TV, ever.
AND - the real reason I am posting - you know that conversation in Infinite Chrises, and Kid von Strucker, and what else he's been in? I'm 99% sure he is Gavin in The Body - the boy that Dawn talks to in her art class. (he's not credited on IMDB, but I'm sure it's him).
You folks are the only people I can say "hey! That guy! Look!" to about that. So there you go.
Also, realizing that was Amy Adams playing Tara's cousin Beth. Cool.
Emily - good to see your fonts. I know you haven't been a New England-ista for ages, but where did you end up?
