Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Wonderful to see you, Emily!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Also, Burrell, it takes as long as it takes, it's not like one day you are filled with peace and can check "Acceptance" off your to do list, no more grieving necessary. Denial ebbs and flows like everything else. But I fully support the no more dying plan, let's all stick to that.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

One of my best friends died a decade ago. She loved her ancient, pilling, stretched-out long navy sweater coat. Each fall she would anxiously scan the fashions, hoping that she could find a replacement. An ad for long sweater coats popped up on Facebook and the pain hit me like she died yesterday. Damn you, sweater-coat makers!
