You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

TCG has no interest in being on a computer when he's not a work. So, I'm fairly certain he doesn't lurk, but he has met quite a few buffistas, and I sometimes tell him what is going on here.

Because books.

Stephen has never been on the board unless I'm making him look at something, but he knows who pretty much everybody is.

A chatroom of one's own seems like a good thing to me.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I think DH once 'fessed up to creating an account here, but he doesn't actually lurk much.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I sometimes suspect at least one of my friends lurks on here, but no one has confessed. shifty eyes

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Wayback machine: I'm a refugee from figure skating forums. I watch a lot of Bravo and they keep playing these commercials for something called Salon.com.

Then I finally click on the Table Talk thread and find the TV threads and lo and behold! There's a Buffy thread!

(I can't ever remember what season it was but I was so happy to find people who took the show seriously!)

I'm a receptionist at a printing company in Kansas City, MO and have been recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I'm a former Theatre person, but the Fibro and debt forced me to become a wage slave.

Punishingly Intricate

I can't believe there were commercials for Salon!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I don't know if Pete counts as a lurker. He hasn't read the board regularly in a while.

I still suspect my dad lurks here.

Always Anti-fascist!

My mom always wants to know what the Buffistas are doing. She's a big fan of Jilli's too.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I de-lurked as Ken Buddha and it was just a few weeks before the Nilly trip sprang into existence. I'd followed the buffistas since the second Salon thread but never bothered joining until I had a halfway decent computer at home.

I was working essentially the same job I am now, but at much lower pay and a few job titles down. I was living in a tiny studio in Salem, MA, but would soon be moving to a half of a house, also in Salem. I think the Wonderfalls premiere at Jon B's was my first live interaction with other buffistas, but I could be forgetting some dinner at some point.

Feels like a lifetime ago, apart from the job (although we were in a different building in a different part of Boston then).

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aww...

I'm, what, maybe 23? I've just been interviewed by Salon about a Xena text-based RPG I play. I'm about to get offered a job by the gaming company based on the strength of that interview. I am currently grinding away as an inventory control specialist at a Japanese pneumatics factory, but I have no idea that the musician who died last year is about to totally disrupt my entire life and send me into the desert to teach music to kids with my husband of 5 years. I play bass in an Appalachian/Celtic band. I wish I could have a dog, but the tiny studio apartment where I live won't permit it. I am pretty stupid about a lot of things but I don't know it yet.
