When you look back at this, in the three seconds it'll take you to turn to dust, I think you'll find the mistake was touching my stuff.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Go team Hoosier!

Although I am currently a Hoosier in absentia. I was in Toledo until May, when I went to Sweden for a month, then spent a month traveling around western Europe (taking all the pictures and posting them to Facebook with commentary that entertained me, at least). Then 2 months in rural western Pennsylvania, where I got to go visit Hil for GISHWHES. Now, I am in Michigan, a 3 min drive or 20 minute walk away from Miracle Man, the Empress, and Miracle Princess (who is finally taller than her panda). In January, it will be down to Texas for 4 months while I finish my stuff for my degree, and then back to Toledo, where they will officially proclaim me Doctor (not that kind. Nope, not that one either. No...look, you're not going to be able to guess.), and then...not really sure yet.

My cat Charlie died this Spring, so it's just me for the moment, though, apparently, there is a cat set aside for me by a co-worker of my mothers who runs a semi-official shelter once I am settled (this was news to me)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

KATEFATE! ::tacklehug::

Frail my heart apart and play me a little Shady Grove

DebetEsse, you've been around! What a great stopping off place, so close to royalty. I'm so sorry about your cat.

Hi, everyone! Smooches, hugs and high fives all around.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Thanks, Kate. I'm rather glad that, if he was going to go, it was while I could be the one to take him to the vet. If my parents had had to do it while I was out of the country, it would have been many times more awful for everyone.

Suzi, OTD

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Kate!! You've been missed! Thanks for stopping in and sharing your news.

Still pouty, still can't see Nilly's babies. Somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I can't see them, either. *pout*

DebetEsse, you've been around! What a great stopping off place, so close to royalty.

We are very lucky to have her so close. Debet has been of huge importance in my life over the past couple of years. More saving me from myself than anything. I am grateful she didn't decide it was way quieter in Sweden without my incessant requests for saving and stay there.

Hi! I'm Aims! I've been here for round about forever. Live in Michigan and I am currently, thanks to the Hivemind, finishing up my student teaching and I graduate in December. It's been a long time coming and I am thrilled beyond belief to finally be done and excited to get my own classroom and start corrupting students and creating girl scientists.

MM and I are doing well. The Small Girl - as I have taken to calling Emeline - is in 4th grade (WHAT?!?!?) and is smart, funny, sassy, and gorgeous. And totally mental, but I have no one to blame but myself. She is a lot of fun, though, and definitely her own personality. She's utterly fantastic.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Not really here, because I'm listing the house in three days and unexpected service call for a broken dishwasher is unexpected (and irritating, and probably not cheap).

Hi. I'm one of the Amy cohort, just back from a visit to my sister in Dallas, and I'm planning on moving to the PNW by the end of this month. Some of you may remember that I have a kid named Ken: he graduated from the University of Utah two years ago and is now living happily with his partner of four years.

The Big Blond Guy and I have had some bumps, but we're still together and he has a couple of recruiters making gleeful noises at the idea of his being in the PNW. (We are also making gleeful noises, when we aren't moaning "Fuck, who said it could snow this week?" and "Where did all this crap come from?")
