Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Kate!! You've been missed! Thanks for stopping in and sharing your news.

Still pouty, still can't see Nilly's babies. Somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I can't see them, either. *pout*

DebetEsse, you've been around! What a great stopping off place, so close to royalty.

We are very lucky to have her so close. Debet has been of huge importance in my life over the past couple of years. More saving me from myself than anything. I am grateful she didn't decide it was way quieter in Sweden without my incessant requests for saving and stay there.

Hi! I'm Aims! I've been here for round about forever. Live in Michigan and I am currently, thanks to the Hivemind, finishing up my student teaching and I graduate in December. It's been a long time coming and I am thrilled beyond belief to finally be done and excited to get my own classroom and start corrupting students and creating girl scientists.

MM and I are doing well. The Small Girl - as I have taken to calling Emeline - is in 4th grade (WHAT?!?!?) and is smart, funny, sassy, and gorgeous. And totally mental, but I have no one to blame but myself. She is a lot of fun, though, and definitely her own personality. She's utterly fantastic.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Not really here, because I'm listing the house in three days and unexpected service call for a broken dishwasher is unexpected (and irritating, and probably not cheap).

Hi. I'm one of the Amy cohort, just back from a visit to my sister in Dallas, and I'm planning on moving to the PNW by the end of this month. Some of you may remember that I have a kid named Ken: he graduated from the University of Utah two years ago and is now living happily with his partner of four years.

The Big Blond Guy and I have had some bumps, but we're still together and he has a couple of recruiters making gleeful noises at the idea of his being in the PNW. (We are also making gleeful noises, when we aren't moaning "Fuck, who said it could snow this week?" and "Where did all this crap come from?")

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

ALL THE AMYS!!

You mean you haven't already? What have you lot been doing while I've been away?

Oh, and Hec? You know how short Judi Dench is wearing her hair these days? Yep, I did it.
