Jeez, don't get all Movie of the Week. I was just too cheap to buy you a real present.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

We're in Greenwich! Well, east Greenwich, but still only a ten minute walk from the museums and the park.

Cool! I think you said your DH really liked that little town.

It's my first trip abroad, ever, and I'm really looking forward to it!!!

You'll have a blast! And Jars is an excellent tour guide. She knows things!

I'm a complete geek about archaeology, and have always wanted to see Skara Brae and Maeshowe, and am willing to substitute the stone circles up there for Stonehenge or Avebury.

As a London archaeologist, I may be able to find some interesting stuff for you to do while you're around here, at least!

My niece just started college, and is planning on studying to be an archaeologist, too! She spent a week last summer at Machu Picchu in Peru and came back even more determined to enter that field.

I can also attest to this (sorta), because I met up with Jars many years ago now (good lord how time flies!) in Dublin at the museum, and she told me all sorts of things!

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I was just wondering if there were any Lurkers in Iowa. Anyone?

It's so lonely here.

Aw, quester, how far are you from Madison? You should come up here sometime and hang out. We could coax Cash down from Stevens Point and go watch some Mad Rollin' Dolls.

Well, that might be possible. It used to take me about 3 hrs to drive up there from Muscatine. I think I might be even closer now.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Ooh, we're delurking again! Hello. I am still Seska. My Year So Far: planned a wedding, married The Girl, moved universities, and that's about all the stress I can handle in one year. But it's all been fun. I continue to work on my research. I'll be able to say that in about four more de-lurkings until I'm anywhere near done with the PhD, I suspect!

Kathy, that's a fantastic trip you've got planned! The wife and I (and Shir!) did Scotland in an RV this summer. Didn't get as far as Orkney, but we saw Skye and lots of other lovely places. Have fun!

Oh, I wish I'd known this! When were you there? Because I'm always at my parents' for 10 days or so in the summer, so I might overlap with visiting Buffistas.

Anyway: hi, I'm Fiona, British but live in Germany; still don't get to post nearly as much as I'd like, but I'm around and lurk a lot.

Eek - didn't realise, Fiona. We were there in August. I think. (My summer's was a bit of a blur. Shir can tell you, I'm sure!) Next time we go, I'll absolutely let you know. We did Loch Lomond, Speyside and Skye. Beautiful.
