Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

You'll have a blast! And Jars is an excellent tour guide. She knows things!

I can also attest to this (sorta), because I met up with Jars many years ago now (good lord how time flies!) in Dublin at the museum, and she told me all sorts of things!

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I was just wondering if there were any Lurkers in Iowa. Anyone?

It's so lonely here.

Aw, quester, how far are you from Madison? You should come up here sometime and hang out. We could coax Cash down from Stevens Point and go watch some Mad Rollin' Dolls.

Well, that might be possible. It used to take me about 3 hrs to drive up there from Muscatine. I think I might be even closer now.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Ooh, we're delurking again! Hello. I am still Seska. My Year So Far: planned a wedding, married The Girl, moved universities, and that's about all the stress I can handle in one year. But it's all been fun. I continue to work on my research. I'll be able to say that in about four more de-lurkings until I'm anywhere near done with the PhD, I suspect!

Kathy, that's a fantastic trip you've got planned! The wife and I (and Shir!) did Scotland in an RV this summer. Didn't get as far as Orkney, but we saw Skye and lots of other lovely places. Have fun!

Oh, I wish I'd known this! When were you there? Because I'm always at my parents' for 10 days or so in the summer, so I might overlap with visiting Buffistas.

Anyway: hi, I'm Fiona, British but live in Germany; still don't get to post nearly as much as I'd like, but I'm around and lurk a lot.

Eek - didn't realise, Fiona. We were there in August. I think. (My summer's was a bit of a blur. Shir can tell you, I'm sure!) Next time we go, I'll absolutely let you know. We did Loch Lomond, Speyside and Skye. Beautiful.

Hi, Fiona! Thanks for your recommendation of the Fielding Hotel in London. I ended up staying there.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hello, lovely lurkers! Fabulous to see your pixels.

My update: got laid off, moved to New Orleans, got my dream job (for now, anyway), am dating a lovely chap, and have made lots of new friends, largely with the help of my adorable Frankie pup. I miss my NCistas and my sister, but it's definitely been a good move for me and I love having Nora and Tom for neighbors.

I'm in Bitches, Natter (when time allows), Movies, Music, Lit, and Minearverse. Horribly behind in a few tv threads.

Hi, Fiona! Thanks for your recommendation of the Fielding Hotel in London. I ended up staying there.

Oh, that's good to hear. It's such an insider tip that I'm always afraid it's going to disappear (or be bought, swallowed up or "redeveloped") by the next time I go to London. I hope you enjoyed it there!

Seska, we were in Scotland at the end of August/early September, so we probably would have missed each other anyway. 2012 it should be mid-August-ish.

Anyway, that's probably enough British tourist board stuff. Back to your regularly scheduled delurking.
