Sir? I think you have a problem with your brain being missing.

not your mom's socks.

eta: Oh! and the poster otherwise known as Sox is my real-life cousin.

Hiya! Sparky did indeed bring me here, where I discovered that you all were the same brilliant serial comma crusaders I adored way back in the Salon days. I've posted for three years, have a tiara from the very wonderful SuziQ and some amazing calendar blocks from Kat. You helped me through a major move and I will be forever grateful. I am mom to almost 5 yo HelloKittyFan who met her bff Mal via the board. They are the Trouble.

I love it that I'm clocking in right behind d - who was my buffista welcoming committee when i made the move to Philly. I still dislike it (PA drivers you SUCK as a phylum), but it is getting better. In part this is d's handiwork.

I love Firefly, Buffy, Wonderfalls, and Dr. Horrible; games; manga; the Oxford English Dictionary; fonts; salt chocolate caramels; and the semi-colon. I'm mostly in Bitches and sometimes I venture into Natter. I lurk the Game thread and GWW. I do some writing about traveling with kids with a co-conspirator, Raq, and several amazing buffista moms.

I am a writer/programmer/graphics type, newly contracted with a virtual content firm making games, telling stories, and doing some other dorky things. My clients are not in my timezone, so I am posting less than I was and am more tired than I have been. I did indeed at one time work for a small nonprofit that we've dubbed ECN where the C is for Craxy.

I am sure there's something I'm forgetting. There usually is.

Because books.

We have an orange cat now! Named Cortez (the Killer). We have ... actually watched him at work, too. He's pretty ruthless.

But he's awesomely mellow otherwise!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hec, how did your map marker end up southwest of New Iberia, Louisiana? Planning a trip?

Bad aim? I don't know. Maybe my mind is drifting in the general direction of New Orleans.

Aww, delurkers, I love you all. So good to see folks like Rayne and Dawn again.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I'll note that, even though my Amarna is not an orange one, she is a gorgeous all-black cat (with one white hair--not a white patch, one single hair!). Also, I've been here long enough to have attended the first national F2F in Evanston (JZ was my roomie--hi, roomie!!) and hosted my first localista F2F when Angel had its finale.

Also, I met one of my RL friends here--after posting here for at least a year, if not longer, ChiKat and I discovered we lived only a mile or two apart and decided to hang out.

So, delurk, everyone! You never know who you'll meet.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Maybe my mind is drifting in the general direction of New Orleans.

So you DO know what it means to miss New Orleans!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

tiggy here! i'm from nashville, tn.

How did I not know this?? I just moved to Nashville! We'll have to meet up!

In other news: Hi, I'm Kate, and I am pro-serial comma, -olives, and -cilantro. I used to live in Massachusetts, but now I live in Tennessee with my boyfriend and my cat (also orange!). I'm a librarian by training, currently working as an editor at a book review publication. I found the board in fall 2001, delurked right around the first airing of "Once More With Feeling," have attended (*counts*) four F2Fs, and love you people like crazy, even if I don't get as much time to post as I used to.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Wow, such a cool new thread! Welcome to the lurkers!

I'm PixKristin, originally known on the board as KristinT (and briefly known as Kristin before deciding that was way too easy to confuse with The Kristen). I found the board and delurked on an epically Buffistatastic night in March of 2004 when this lovely group of people raised over $2000 in 24 hours to bring Nilly from Israel to the US. My delurking night is immortalized in Allyson's book.

I'm originally from Connecticut but moved to the LA area (Pasadena, in fact--Solange, we should do coffee sometime!) four years ago. I'm getting married to my partner in crime NoiseDesign (who yes, I met via b.org) in January. I hold the unique distinction of being the only person ever to be proposed to via B'Craxy. Not sure if that's a source of pride or chagrin, but it was pretty awesome.

I'm a high school English teacher and a sometimes writer. I'm passionate about teaching, traveling, scuba diving, and laughing until I can barely breathe.

You can find me in Bitches, Natter, Literary, Minearverse, Jossverse, F2F, and the right-hand threads. I lurk in a few of the TV threads when I'm caught up and GWW when I'm not drowning in school stuff.

I love this board and the people on it. I've met most of the regular posters in person at one point or another and consider the people here family.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Woohoo! I'm in the 12South area and work in Hillsboro Village, but could do pretty much anywhere in town (or elsewhere -- I need to do more exploring!). I'm going to be out of town this weekend and probably won't have much access to email, but if you send me a note at my profile address we can make plans!

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

And in other Nerd City news, I now think of Victor Infante as Zathras and wonder if he too is trained in crisis management.

Trust me on this: Every day's a crisis in Nerd City.
