Xander: I still don't get why we came here to get info about a killer snot monster. Giles: Because it's a killer snot monster from outer space. I did not say that.

'Never Leave Me'

Delurking 1: Because we don't always check our e-mail.

Always Anti-fascist!

Rayne, Still dig that tagline...

Thomas, Seriously? We're funny enough without L'amour Buffy? And I thought I was the group's unlikeliest member what with all the "Bodies? Cool! and the fact that I thought I would have to apply for asylum for being non-geeked about Star Trek 3.0. Wanna hug it out?(I still must lobby for the next BUreau being "Bitches Hug It Out..." it's a long shot, but I'm compelled to ask.)

Rayne! I also remember, Thomas W. I think. The memory is not what it used to be. I'm also high on cough syrup.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I came to the board in late 2002 by following some kind of Firefly-related link. I had been hooked by Buffy since Cordelia said, "I see you've seen the softer side of Sears." The warmth and comradeship of b.org was something I needed very much at that time, and I will be forever grateful.

I have been a writer, magazine editor and Web designer for many years, mostly for electricity-related companies. In 1998, I had a terrible vision of the decades of staff meetings ahead of me and left my job to start my own company. These days I write a column about energy for a local utility; do some Web design and content; and look for new clients, since my old ones have been heavily affected by the dismal economy. I live in the Atlanta area with thousands of books in a house run by a Jack Russell-Corgi mix named Mr. Peabody.

I was a moderately active in SF fandom in the '70s and '80s and my first online fandom was rec.arts.sf.tv.babylon5.

I am a terrible procrastinator, which is why I have an ABD and not Ph.D. in English literature. My area of study was late 19th century American, and I have been known to go on at length about Hawthorne, Melville and my personal obsession, Henry Adams, as well as about my loathing for Henry James. I have written to AP Style since my writing was done on a Royal Standard, and I am therefore unable to use the serial comma.

I am found mostly in Bitches, Great Write, Literary, Jossverse, Minearverse, Tech and Procedurals. My current state of not enough work means I'm currently caught up in Natter.

Hi! I’m a “forced” lurker due to work/life busy-ness. Loved Buffy from the first shot of Xander on a skateboard.

I’m a resident of suburban Los Angeles (Torrance to be exact. South Bay represent!). 4th generation Californian, a rarity, almost everybody is from somewhere else. 52 years old, married, 2 kids ages 18 and 13. We used to live on a 50-foot boat in Marina del Rey but my MiL was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s last year so we had to move into her house to care for her. I’m still adjusting to that. It’s been a process, that’s for sure. It’s surprising that this has been a larger adjustment than going from a 1,000 sq foot house to the boat. I work for a small-ish company tangentially related to the entertainment industry which keeps me very busy but I love it tons. It’s very nice to like going to work again. I used to have a soul sucking job at DHL which was affectionately called by my children “DH-Hell.

I found Buffistas way back on WX by following a Tim post that got shared on the net. I sorta lurked at the original Bronze and the Beta, but Buffistas is home. The only good thing about DHL was that it allowed me to post a bit more regularly and hang out with the LA-istas, but now? Not so much. I check Beep Me and Press every day and try to catch up with the show threads at least once a week. I try to keep up in Natter and Bitches but sometimes that’s a lost cause.

Hi. I lurk and post like once every two years or so, which is strange because I'm not usually lurky on sites, but I started reading this board when I had this soul-crushing job and didn't have much free time and I always think of it as "that board I read but don't have time to really participate in." Except that I have more time now so I need to get over that. That was too much of a tour of my brain, wasn't it?

Bio stuff: I live in Pittsburgh and I'm a geek. I love science fiction tv shows and genre movies and books and comics too. My current tv-watching obsession is Farscape. I code like a girl and have two cats and a spouse.

I read Boxed Set, Other Media, Procedurals, Minearverse, and Buffy/Angel. I on a random delurking helped to come up with the notion of the Jossverse thread, but don't watch Dollhouse so I don't read it.

I should delurk more often.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Hey! We Sara(h)s will not be discounted!

Damn right!

Welcome, all delurkers and those people who don’t post very often! It’s good to see your text.

My board name is sj, which is my first two initials and also something my family used to call me as a kid, so I will answer to it in person. I live in Massachusetts with my fiancée who I refer to here as TCG (which stands for teacup guy which he was named by Buffistas because he gave me a teacup on our second date). Besides teacups, I am also obsessed with tea and books.

I started lurking here sometime during Buffy S6 and delurked shortly after that, I think. I don’t remember exactly when I started posting, but it feels like I have been here forever and yet I still feel like a newbie sometimes. I post mostly in Bitches, but I read most of the other threads and will post there too. I can never keep up with Natter, otherwise I might post there more often.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

Hi. I'm Victor Infante, but my board name is Victor Infante. The inflection is totally different. I'm not so much a lurker as I am perpetually distracted by real life. Tend to pop my head in the TV threads.

I was one of the people who first emigrated from Salon, and was even a Stompy at one point, which was a terrible, terrible mistake, ending in tragedy when fellow former Stompy JenGod and I were forced to jettison an entire portion of the Web site into space to save the rest. Oh, the threads that were lost ... the "Cryptozoology of 'Buffy'" thread, the "OH MY GOD WILLOW'S WEARING THAT!?!?" thread, the "Guess What's in NoiseDesign's Fridge?" thread ... Good times. Good times. Shame most have suffered a collective amnesia to assuage the pain. But who can blame them?

I live in New England, with my wife Lea, who rarely ever posts here as Thessaly. I write stuff. Sometimes people publish it. Or throw donuts at me. Whatever works.

Did any other classic Doctor Who fan's mind go to "Logopolis" with this?
