Hey! What do you two think you're doing? Fightin' at a time like this. You'll use up all the air!

My only question, will you and Mike be wearing costumes during the ceremony? If so, we can do no less than demand PEEKTURS!!!

I'm getting the pig!

After the wedding you should have much more time to come play with us.

I hope so, Laura! Today is a work-from-home snow day, which helps with the opportunities to post. Once we're done unpacking (some of this stuff might just get shoved in the basement for the reception), life should feel a bit more low key.

Thank you for the yays!

Sorry Ellen, we're not wearing costumes for the ceremony. Instead we'll be decked out in sexy huge coats and slinky snow boots. Very chic.

Hee. Well, they can be! Especially for a winter (and/or snowy) wedding. So, what Perkins said. Still want pictures!

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Snow Queen and King! Yes, pictures! And congratulations!

Hi. I’ve been following this thread since it opened and not actually posting. So before October is over, here I go.

I’m Maggie B and I’ve been lurking here for a long time (since the Salon article linking to the TT Buffy thread). I posted a couple of times years ago (on WX or here, I’m not sure) but somehow I never seem to have anything interesting to say when I have time to post. So I love this thread since I can just introduce myself and then quietly sit back in my corner again. I’m a born wallflower.

I’m 38, single, and I live in Boston. I was born in London but my family moved to the US when I was 6, and I grew up in the Detroit area. I lived in DC for awhile and then moved to Boston for law school and stuck around. Used to have fancy law job but got laid off at the beginning of the recession. I was lucky and found a new, not so fancy, law job where I’m much happier.

I’m anti-cilantro (ew, soapy!), anti-olive (more for the ½ of my family that loves them), and pro-serial comma.

Also very pro-cat as these days it seems I’m trying for the crazy cat lady title. I’ve got 4 right now. There’s Murphy and Anya (she’s so named because she can be a sweetheart but can be quite demonic if the mood strikes). They are 2 years old. And I just adopted Spike and Buffy. I didn’t mean to name them Spike and Buffy. I joked to my best friend that I would. Spike because he’s got the black coat. Buffy because “she’s so little!” Best Friend happened to stop by our (mutual) vet’s office and must have told them. When I showed up the next day with Spike (who came out of the shelter with pneumonia), the vet said, “And this must be Spike. We’ve got his file already set up. And Buffy’s too.” Spike was hospitalized for a week for the pneumonia and came home already knowing his name. So Spike and Buffy they are. They love to fight together and then cuddle so it kind of fits.

I’ve enjoyed reading along with all of you for so long now, that it is truly an honor to say I know the Buffistas. Thanks for letting me read along and thanks for this opportunity to say, “Hi! I’m here too.“ Even if I’m very very quiet.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hi Maggie!

Wow, you have a low user ID number for a lurker.

Former lurker, I mean.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Maggie, your moggies are adorable! So nice to see your font here.
