Could just be a hoax, though. I fake some headaches, everyone gets used to poor helpless Spike. Then one day, no warning, I snap a spine, bend a head back, drain 'em dry. Brilliant.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I don't know if it counts as delurking to post, since I haven't gone away, but I only read/post in Lit, Boxed Set, Fic, and Supernatural these days. B.org is blocked at work and I can't access it, so there's no way to keep up with the faster-moving threads.

I'm Consuela, I was posting on the very first TT Buffy thread, along with a few others still here (Hec, I think, and maybe Betsy)--but I was posting under my real name, which I don't use online anymore. My Buffista claim to fame is that Tim Minear first delurked to answer a nitpick I made.

I live in the East Bay of CA, in a small house with a sweetly neurotic rescue German Shepherd and too many books. I work for the fed, in a job whose specific description is entirely awesome and that I cannot actually say in public because I'm the only person in the country doing this. Let's just say it has to do with historic preservation and major aids to navigation.

I'm dealing with aging parents and all that that entails, so my life isn't likely to get calm and peaceful anytime soon.

I'm pro-cilantro, anti-olive, pro-Oxford comma, learned the two spaces after a period, and have finally given up on Dollhouse after watching all of Buffy, Angel, and Firefly on the first run. I have posted fanfic in X-Files, Farscape (MY SHOW!), the Gateverse, and Supernatural. I feel like a bad Buffista because hardly any of it is porny.

Just got back from a two-week trip to Peru with three friends I met online, in which I learned how to tell the difference between llamas and alpacas, hiked the Inca Trail to see Machu Picchu at dawn, ate mountains of rice and the best ceviche ever, and dodged the poop of blue-footed boobies. I had some excellent traveling companions, as well.

Anyway, it's totally lovely to meet all the lurkers, and to see all these old familiar names, like Betsy & CV & Holli. I don't suppose anyone knows where Agnes or Doctor Satan are...?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Since the conversation in this thread, I've realized that the only place I use two spaces at the end of a sentence is on my phone, because that's how the auto-formatting works. (Two spaces after a word triggers a period and capitalization of the next thing you type without having to navigate to the punctuation keyboard. Keen!)

So first I saw this and teared up:

Anyway, Darth is still acting, recently married to a v. nice boy, bought a house, and from all outward appearances doing awesomely.

And then I saw this, and started sobbing openly (love these hormones):

Hi, I'm Darth, another NC-ista. Last time I was here, I worked for an intellectual property search company in Chapel Hill (at the desk next to Cybervixen) and lived near Calli, Smonster and Amyth. Now, I am a multimedia editor/content producer at UNC-Chapel Hill, and actor in Durham. I'm also a newlywed, as me and my husband got gaymarried in Boston this summer.

Ohhhhh my former best friend I miss you soooooo!!!!!! Pleeeeeease email me (hdn123 at gmail dot com)! And if he never again graces us with his presence, will one of you lucky enough to still have a Darth in your lives please pass on my contact info? Its criminal that we've lost touch! (But I'm still not joining Facebook!).

In between the sob sessions, I read this, which just made me giggle:

Maybe we should send the kitty to Cheney? Getting caught with some right leaning pussy might just shut him up for a while.

Trudy rocks.

Oh, and hi Betsy! So nice to see you, and I am sad to hear life is sucking so very much. :(

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Tis done, Callaluna.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I just realized that I've been lurking in this thread and haven't introduced myself. Oy.

I'm SuziQ (aka Lexine, aka Maidengurl). I lurked on TT and WX and here for a long time. Then I started the occasional posting. When the Nilly tour happened, I decided I had to meet some buffistas. I met so many fantastic folks at the Nilly-que. It is so fun being able to travel just about anywhere and find a buffista to meet up with. I have only attended the SF F2F, but would love to get to another one.

I used to live in California, East Bay Area, but just over a year ago I decided to turn my life completely upside down. I separated from my husband, got a new job within my company, and moved to Colorado. I love it here, but I miss the Bay Area localistas. This board really helped me through all these changes, earning my Bachelors, and through my mom passing away. I don't think I would have remained anywhere near sane without y'all.

I have two kids - daughter K-Bug, who is in college and, son CJ, who is a true 13 year old. I have a cat - Miss Kitty, and a fish - Boy George (adopted from Nicole, thank you much). My divorce should be final on December 1st and I'll have to come up with a new name for STBX.

Serial comma - yes
Post-period double spacing - learned it that way, but have trained myself out of the habit.
Basic grammer and punctuation - I have issues
Cilantro - yum
Olives - must be in the mood
Muffuletta - have never had one. Would probably try, given the opportunity.
Fernet - Hell yeah

I love baseball (miss my A's), palm trees, and hitting things (blue belt in karate). I have had buffistas stay with me and I have crashed at other buffista pads (including Juliana's bed of doom). I work for an engineering firm, playing with the financials. Eh, it pays the bills.

I can usually be found in Natter, Supernatural, Movies, and Non-Fiction, though I do pop through some of the other tv threads occasionally.

And what's with all the carrots?

I just received a heads up on the lurker thread, so I will delurk for an introduction. My name actually is Buffy. Legally, another Elizabeth, but I was only called Elizabeth when in trouble as a child--so Buffy it is.

I found myself hooked on Buffy during Season 2. When the show transferred to another channel not available in our area, my awesome cousin, Javachik, video taped and mailed episodes to me! Fast forward to 2004. Javachik introduced me to b.org and within months I met a good number of people at the SFF2F and again in Chicago a few years later.

I live in Nebraska in the largest city on Husker game days. I would move in an instant but I have full custody of two children from a previous marriage, and until I am ready for a huge -HUGE- legal battle with the ex (aka Satan), we have to remain living here.

I have an awesome wife who gets nightmares from watching scary shows, yet has been watching the box set with me over the last few months. Our daughter S is a princess/artist at almost 6 who knows more about fashion than I ever have in my 37 years. R is a 9 yr old boy who is a whiz, plays a zillion sports, some of which I coach to prevent bleacher butt, and has aspergers autism.

I work for a software company that creates programs for county government around the country. It's very exciting (yawn). However, I will be spending quite a bit of time in Washington the next 4-5 months and hope to meet up with more Buffistas F2F!!!

I lurk every six months or so, typically in Bitches. Life tends to be busy and the board fast-paced, but I enjoy the banter and will land in a thread or two soooon!

Our wings are not tired.

Vrooooooooooooooooom! My cousin!! Yay, so glad you de-lurked. And how sad is it that I got caught up on your life through that post?
