"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Mandorable sounds like a Scfy movie. (Or how every they spell it.)

Oooh! Yes! A Scyfy movie about an adorable man who happens to have mandibles!

I read manpries as Manpires, and tried to picture Pete wearing a Manpire, and I'm now NEVER EVER getting off the list.

...well, considering that in the Gothic Charm School fanfiction story I'm currently penning, Jilli has vampire!Gerard Way imprisoned in the attic in the West Tower, that might just happen yet.

Heh.

(don't know what manpries are.)

The best thing about being the most Easterly Buffista? (Jump in and contradict me, Easterly lurkers!.)

Pete CANNOT loom at me. Hah.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

The best thing about being the most Easterly Buffista? (Jump in and contradict me, Easterly lurkers!.)

Ahem.

“Not dead yet!”

Fay, manpries are the man version of capri pants. I believe that K-Fed and his ilk tried to make them popular.

And Pete's just so adorable when he's all proclaim-y like.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

has been on The List forever so isn't particularly worried about that

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Lurkers, here's your opening: pop out, give us a intro, and state that Pete is obviously adorable, and voila, you'll be part of the Unsecret Subset of Buffistas Who Have Publicly Declared Pete Adorable, also known as "The List". What he plans to do with this list, I do not know, and therefore I have, prudently I think, not made any public declarations regarding his adorableness. However, I'm sure it's safe for you to do so. Go on then.

stands back

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh my, it's a conspiracy.

Y'all just better not pop your heads up in any Halo environment any time soon.

You do know he can draw you in compromising positions, right?!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

You do know he can draw you in compromising positions, right?!

At <1 year of NGA that might be a problem.

After >3 years of NGA that starts to look like a potential affidavit. "Look! Someone else can imagine Me + sex!"

What Calli said. If he draws me in a compromising position, I want a copy to hang on my wall. To remind myself what it looks like.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

...well, considering that in the Gothic Charm School fanfiction story I'm currently penning, Jilli has vampire!Gerard Way imprisoned in the attic in the West Tower, that might just happen yet.

I'm picturing it as "GIVE ME A PIGGY BACK RIDE! I COMMAND YOU!"

"Sod off, I'm painting."

"GIVE ME A MOTHERLOVING PIGGY BACK RIDE!" ::power eyeballs of vampire thrall::

"..." ::sighs::

Smart people can be stupid too

erm *ahem*

Hi everyone, I'm Helen. I'm a relatively new lurker (only started reading in... 2005?) and though I've spoken up once or twice in my time here, I still find it pretty intimidating to actually delurk (translation: I love this thread!).

I am one of the way-back-in-the-thread aforementioned sisters of 'Ouise and I live in the surprisingly Buffista rich Halifax (Nova Scotia). I actually attended a few Buffista get-togethers before I made my way here. My list is nowhere near as long as most of yours but I've met: 'Ouise (obviously), Sue, Elena B, Brian, megan e (I think that's her board name), Trudy Booth, Sheryl, RaRa (another obvious one, she's my other sister), and possibly a few more that I'm forgetting.

I'm single, an almost-nurse (about 6 months from now I'll graduate and become a real live RN!), and companion to Xerxes (a large and gregarious ginger tom-cat, best known for wandering into a local hotel and trying to follow a complete stranger into an elevator).

I am fairly indifferent to the serial comma (being Canadian I grew up serial comma free, then university writing taught me to use them and now I'm hideously inconsistent. I hope you can forgive me) but addicted to parentheses (which I'm sure you've already noticed!)

I'm a mildly-obsessive Joss fan with equally overwhelming love for pretty much everything Tim Minear has ever done. My first ever Buffy episode was 'Inca Mummy Girl' and it marked the beginning of over a decade of sharing great TV with my sisters (recent highlights include: Firefly, Wonderfalls, The Inside, Supernatural, Eureka, The Mentalist, Heroes, Bones, HIMYM, SYTYCD, and Boston Legal).

My first encounter with the site came when 'Ouise sent me a link to the BRQG to cheer me up, I poked around a bit and found the "My People!!" experience so many others have spoken of in this thread. It's funny: I love it here, it feels like home and I honestly feel like you're all my friends (sorry if that's creepy), but I can't seem to get past the shyness thing! (even though I'm not shy at all in person).

Anyway, thanks for being so awesome, Invisible Internet People!

Oh and:

Cilantro: is there a word stronger than no?

Olives: Yes please!

Muffaletta: Based on my love of olives, I am comfortable assuming a yes
