I just got back from synagogue. The rabbi's sermon was about how Jewish tradition tells us that we should accept scientific truth, no matter what source it comes from (using the example of Maimonedes citing the Greek astronomers), and that people who insist on reading the Torah as a history book or a science book are missing the point.
