sara, that's hysterical. I wish there were pictures. Noah also got bit by our dog. He had cornered the dog in our bedroom and was hitting him on the head with a cup. I tried to get between them when I heard the growl, but I wasn't quick enough. Noah not so tramautized and hasn't learned his lesson either. He still chases and harasses the dog.
Natter 64: Yes, we still need you

Hil, I read that article after I saw this blog post: [link] I thought it was a very interesting examination of the socialization issues of race and racial discourse in this country.
It surprises me not a whit that Limbaugh is frightened of anything that threatens his position of white male American privilege. He is, and always will be, part of the problem.
Kat, Liv dips her McD's French fries in carmel sauce. Owen eats the apple dippers and Liv takes his sauce and dips her fries in it. I love that little freak.
People are fascinating!
I think I hate people that aren't us.

I know it's not fair to let the dog bite the kid, but a little bit of Noah trauma wouldn't go amiss here. I mean that in the lovingest way. We're supposed to be a little scared of dogs. Poor doggie.
Well, there's always me feeding Noah with a large glass of wine in hand. Thank god all my parent friends (and family) share my irreverence when it comes to parenting. Otherwise they might disown me.
Then I said, "But since everyone else in this room is in regular and you're in Honors, I'll have to have a tougher grading scale for you."
::hearts Kat and wants her to be her kids' teacher::
Just got home from karate - as I was leaving I got handed my testing card for blue belt. The test is on the 25th. I'm VERY excited.
Toddler with the sobby hiccups toddling sorrowfully about with his lower lip out, beer in hand AWSOME. I wish I'd had my camera.
I really wish you'd had it too. That is hysterical.
So the solution to #2 is that they have renamed my class from AP to Honors for this one child whose parent's complained. But she is remaining in the same class and expected to do the same work. So, essentially she'll do the same work and get LESS credit.
They have the opposite scheme at my son's school. They join the standard class then take the placement test to place into honors. They don't actually move them to the honors class because they can't resolve the schedule changes, so they do the same work but now get honors credit.
For the record, I'm sure my teen boys would eat an ABC fry just to freak me out.
whoo-hoo Suzi!
