Well, there's always me feeding Noah with a large glass of wine in hand. Thank god all my parent friends (and family) share my irreverence when it comes to parenting. Otherwise they might disown me.

Then I said, "But since everyone else in this room is in regular and you're in Honors, I'll have to have a tougher grading scale for you."

Just got home from karate - as I was leaving I got handed my testing card for blue belt. The test is on the 25th. I'm VERY excited.
Toddler with the sobby hiccups toddling sorrowfully about with his lower lip out, beer in hand AWSOME. I wish I'd had my camera.
I really wish you'd had it too. That is hysterical.
So the solution to #2 is that they have renamed my class from AP to Honors for this one child whose parent's complained. But she is remaining in the same class and expected to do the same work. So, essentially she'll do the same work and get LESS credit.
They have the opposite scheme at my son's school. They join the standard class then take the placement test to place into honors. They don't actually move them to the honors class because they can't resolve the schedule changes, so they do the same work but now get honors credit.

whoo-hoo Suzi!

I have also bought my child a bo staff and nunchucks (he doesn't know about those, waiting until his hand is healed). I never thought I'd be buying my kid weapons.
Our karate tournament is in October and I expected to test after tournament, so getting to test before is exciting. I'll have to work extra hard to be competitive at my new rank, but I'm happy for the opportunity.
Ha!! That's geektastic!
LOVE.
