this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

So far I haven't asked Peter why he makes the odd loud noises and vocalizations at night.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My neighbors in my dorm during my sophomore year in college assumed I was "mean" because I looked like I was mad all the time. I don't recall being angry at all--just deep in thought.

FWIW, they're still good friends. I'm apparently not mean once you get to know me.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

It sounds a lot like a form of Tourette's.

Oh, that would make sense. I think. Could Tourette's result in slamming doors, etc?

OK, now the maintenance guy is trying to maintain the peace.

Boing Boing:

What a sad loss. He will be remembered, respected, and missed. NYT obituary. Patti Smith, another personal idol of mine, says of Carroll, "I met him in 1970, and already he was pretty much universally recognized as the best poet of his generation. The work was sophisticated and elegant. He had beauty."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

now I can't hear what they're saying about the noise.

Get yer butt out there and eavesdrop!

Wozniacki kinda fell apart there at the end of the last set. I give the match to Clijsters. I really wish they'd stop mentioning Henin. Surely there's something else to talk about. Uh, that isn't Serena.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck to you and yours, Nora!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

From a blog discussion about bad pop music: Silvia Night. [link] I'm just staring at this video in horror. It's terrible even by Eurovision standards.

It's Europe's revenge for us afflicting them with Jingle Cats, right?
