Giles: I'm sure we're all perfectly safe. Dawn: We're safe. Right. And Spike built a robot Buffy to play checkers with. Tara: It sounded convincing when I thought it.

Art Crawl!!!

Aurelia - that sucks.

Dana - have people been suggesting friends to you on fb? (I realize that I didn't do that and I totally could.)

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Ha! I have conquered the technical thingies that were giving me fits. I RULE.

I totally understand that feeling. I've been having fits for weeks at work because of tech issues that was stalling 3 of my classes. After waiting for tech support, I spent 2 hours wrangling around "security features" and finally got things worked out. I felt like a rock star.

In short, we both RULE!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Mm, Dana's appetizers sound yummy.

Franny is at her first soccer game right now. In her hot pink soccer uniform. So now, in addition to needing to upload and post the Turning 6 photo, I need to add the soccer ones. One day, you know me.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm so sorry, aurelia.

ION, someone in Norway had his name changed to Julius Andreas Gimli Arn MacGyver Chewbacka Highlander Elessar-Jankov.

"Arn" is a Swedish knight movie.

"I wanted to show that it is possible to be serious and at the same time take the name you like," said the film enthusiast. "I wanted to see how far I could take it with respect to the number of names. I started thinking about this three years ago and it was approved in January this year." Apparently, he's had his passport and bank card reissued, but the name was too long so he dropped "Highlander."

The picture of him just screams "Norwegian geek."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Slambonis all for naught, still too wet. Rain, rain, go away, Come again sometime after Tuesday or Wednesday.

Swouncing

Skipping for Buffista Calendar birthdays purposes:

First of all, Trudy, I'm sorry I missed your birthday yesterday! I hope you have a good day, and wish you a happy second-day-of-your-new-age and a wonderful year!

Second, today is Polter-Cow's birthday, so lots of wishes for him, as well!

And third, since I have no idea how my computer time is going to look like in the coming week, here's a list of upcoming Buffistas birthdays, so I won't feel bad for missing anybody, OK?

So, tomorrow, Sunday, the 13th, will be billytea's birthday.

Tuesday, the 15th, will be Nora Deirdre'a birthday.

Thursday, the 17th will be a double Buffista event, because it's both Perkins' birthday, as well as the Phoenix Board's birthday.

Friday, the 18th will be erikaj's birthday.

Saturday, the 19th, will be another one of these lovely double events, both lori's birthday as well as PMM & Paul's anniversary.

Sunday, the 20th, will be Sue's birthday.

Monday, the 21st, will be Sophia Brooks' birthday.

Wednesday, the 23rd will be Emmett's birthday.

(Goodness, if I ever try to plan a time-away-from-a-computer again, please remind me to choose a less events-fortunate week, OK?)

Lots and lots of wishes for all of them, in advance!

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Sooo. Somebody on my flist mentioned that there was a sale at the Riverkids Shop and linked to an additional 10% discount. Somehow I found myself buying a purse for my mom and for my sister-in-law (and possibly one for my aunt). And then I bought a bunch of twisted silk scarves operating on the theory that I could keep a few and give a few as Christmas or birthday presents.

I meant to be slothful today, but instead I'm running down a list of chores as if my mother were visiting tomorrow, AND I'm probably a third of the way through my Christmas shopping.

Oops?
