See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

The thunder has slacked off and the rain is all dried up, and we're watching Teen Titans and slowly gearing up for a preschool open house. Most of the Montessoris in San Francisco are as alarmingly expensive as anything else (though almost nothing is as bad as my employer's preschool/aftercare at $1365 a month), but by random Google-Yelping, we miraculously found an affordable one three blocks from home. We've probably walked past it a hundred times without ever noticing it. Open house starts in forty minutes. And on Monday we do a tour of an also-affordable one ten blocks away in the opposite direction. Please, please let one of them work out.

And, because it deserves its own post, aurelia, I'm so sorry. I had no idea how long and rich a history your employer had. That's got to be devastating for everyone; whenever a theater company goes under, something irreplaceable vanishes.

Survived 35 lbs of cat at the vet. Loki's fat (surprise,) Mister Kitty lost some weight, but a blood check shows his sugar isn't high, and both he and Devi need their teeth cleaned. Mrph.

Poor Devi cried the whole way up and back and is being very clingy now, though I can't pick her up- she bolts. But she's still crying at me and sticking close.

OK, more errands!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

For the appetizer, we decided to do a toothpick thing, since we had a lot of what we needed. Sausage, cheese, basil, roasted red pepper, and some with roasted garlic, all skewered on a toothpick.

Ha. They've got machines out trying to try the courts at the U.S. Open, and they call them "slambonis."

“Not dead yet!”

Ha! I have conquered the technical thingies that were giving me fits. I RULE.

::ahem::

I may, perhaps, be a bit more pleased with myself than I should be, but still-- I feel all "It was Shake n'Bake and I helped!"

Or something.

Art Crawl!!!

Aurelia - that sucks.

Dana - have people been suggesting friends to you on fb? (I realize that I didn't do that and I totally could.)

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Ha! I have conquered the technical thingies that were giving me fits. I RULE.

I totally understand that feeling. I've been having fits for weeks at work because of tech issues that was stalling 3 of my classes. After waiting for tech support, I spent 2 hours wrangling around "security features" and finally got things worked out. I felt like a rock star.

In short, we both RULE!
